Great for the price. My only complaint is a bit of stale smoke odor in the room. It was tolerable, but a person with a higher sensitivity to smoke would be unhappy.

Run-down and dirty

Pros: The shower had hot water.
Cons: Cleaning it! Exterminating the cockroaches!
I don't expect extended-stay hotels to be fancy...basic is fine. I do expect them to be clean, and that's where the Extended Stay Westchase Richmond failed utterly. It had cockroaches (I killed one in the kitchen area on the first day, and spotted a second one inside the AC control panel on a later day.) The furniture was not only dusty, but dirty: the handles of the dresser were actually slightly sticky, so that I scrubbed them with a damp towel (which came away black). The floor in the kitchen was likewise dirty. Also, the water went out for several hours one day. This was also the most stripped-down extended-stay place I've ever been in. The kitchen area had no dishes; you have to specially request them. (Also, the box of dishes that eventually arrived was not terribly clean, and I had to re-wash them before using them.) There was no cleaning done at all during my 9-day stay, so I had to place my trash in the hall outside to get it taken away, and I had to request more TP at the front desk. The front desk staff were obviously doing their best, and were polite and as helpful as it was in their power to be, but obviously overworked (I had to put in several calls to get my dishes, for ex.) I had pre-paid for my stay, or else I would have gone to a different place after the first day.

If you like staying with women of the night, drug dealers and filthy rooms, you'll love this place.

Pros: there are no pros to this hotel.
Cons: No free Internet, Noisy, Nothing close
This place should be raided by the police! And sign should say "we rent by the hour". We saw people dealing drugs out of one of the rooms near ours, saw a woman of the nightwaiting for her john in the lobby, a hobo wandering our hallway harrassing us. Our first entry into the room, we found the bathroom exhaust fan hanging from the ceiling by 2 wires directly above the toilet. My husband had to fix it himself. White socks turn completely black on the bottom by just walking across the floor once. Toilet backed up and the front desk told us to come down and they'd give us a plunger to fix it ourselves #as we did#. Ratty and broken furniture. No wash cloth, no blanket #even when we asked for one, they only gave us another bedspread#, not even one full set of silverware, internet wasn't totally free. I was in the room changing when one of the staff just opens the door without any type of warning. It was a nightmare - not even worth a rating of 1. Not handicapped accessible, either. If we could have changed hotels, we would have!

Pay more stay elsewhere!

Cons: No free Internet, Noisy
For the price I paid i was not expecting too much. However, clean sheets, more than 2 towels, and just and over all poor quality. The bed was as hard as a rock, the sheets had stains and a burn hole in them. When we asked for more towels we were told to bring the ones we had down and they would exchange them. Not sure I got what i paid for.

Great stay

Pros: Free breakfast, Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet
The hotel was easy to find around alot of food places, staff was great, checkin was great and easy, the room was extremely comfortable I recommend this hotel.

Dirtiest stay ever

Pros: Free Internet
Cons: Noisy, dirty
I read the reviews on the site before staying here and thought that this would be a good value. Well it was one of the worse experiences. There were missing utensils and dishes, and the dishes that were there were put away dirty (old food still on them). Then a strange odor came from the bed. The bedspread and linens were dirty and nasty. The staff was good to replace everything and offered to move me to another room, but I was afraid it wouldn't be any better. The staff at the desk was great but they need to work on the cleaning staff. Poor and uncomfortable stay.
