"The staff was absolutely unbelievably awesome. Can’t say I’ve experienced a hotel stay like it.
The GM was so understanding of my situation. I had actually booked the hotel for 5 nights a few months before.
After a Super Bowl party I’m contracted Covid on 2/14 and couldn’t manage the 2 day drive from STL to Hershey.
I called your company. The reservation was non-refundable, but per the CDC, positive Covid pts were to isolate for 5 days. After isolating, pts can leave the home but wear a mask for the next 5 days. I notified your company and supplied the evidence of a positive result. Your company gave me a huge, aggravating, upsetting run around stating it was up to the hotel to decide if I could get a refund on the 3 days my husband and I couldn’t make. We still intended to use the other 2 days.
Your company said they faxed a copy of my positive result and declined to cancel.
When we got to the hotel the front desk said our whole reservation was canceled! We explained to the GM our situation with your company. He said they never got any correspondence about my situation and if he did he would have canceled those 3 days w/o penalty.
The GM is a very kind and compassionate to how I was feeling which wasn’t all that great.
He got us a room for 2 nights at the same rate as HOTELS.com.
HAMPTON INN at Hershey by the Park is exceptional.
I also work with the public and it is a thankless, uneasy job. I professionally and personally appreciated all the wonderful staff"
