I stayed in room 224 on Wednesday which is smoking

I stayed in room 224 on Wednesday and Thursday. Someone entered my room. These two rooms are drugged. Roms 222 and 224 are on the I went there again on Friday and requested a room none smoking and is also located on the front side of the building. Even though I was told they were out of rooms for non-smoking due to wedding reservations, I did not believe the attendant because I saw several empty rooms. Room 222 and 224 are on the backside of the building and away from the street. They have installed some kind of key card reader that is absolutely useless for keeping intruders out.

Clearly neglected property

The location of this hotel is prime, the rates are good and the staff were friendly. The good experience ends there and I am unsure how this hotel received such positive reviews recently, because what I saw is the product of years of neglect. I was first put in a smoking room that reeked; I was not asked when I checked in if I wanted smoking, so I returned to the front desk. The clerk gladly moved me to a non-smoking room. Both rooms were clearly neglected, both from a cleanliness and maintenance perspective. There were visible crumbs and dirt on the counters and seating surfaces; the furniture is very worn and stained. The lamp socket was hanging out of the lamp, and the toilet paper roll probably had 20 sheets left. I checked the bed over carefully and it seemed to be the only spot, besides the tub (not the shower surround), that sees cleaning on a regular basis. Corners of the rooms are clearly dirty, I could see light through my door jamb when bolted shut (both rooms) and the rooms have a musty smell. There was something gooey on the nightstand and I put a towel down to work at the desk, because it was sticky. Because I was in such a prime location, only there for a couple days and the bed seemed clean, I decided to stay and tough it out. I would not return to this hotel, nor recommend it to anyone.

Huntsville trip

It was a nice Hotel. The rooms were very roomy, nice size. Bed was comfortable. But, we didn't have a Do Not Disturb sign. At 8:30 the next morning we were woke up by housekeeping trying to get in for cleaning. It wasn't appreciated. But, it was a nice stay.
