There was an undisclosed $35/night parking fee -- an extra $105 for our 3 night stay. The parking lot is also rented to travelers at the adjacent John Wayne airport and they seem to have most of the nearby spaces. We had to park at the back of the long, narrow lot and carry bags ~3 blocks to the entrance. When we complained about the parking charge, hotel staff basically said "too bad, that's what we charge" and they were pretty snotty about it. Ordered a $19 hamburger by room service but they tacked on unexpected charges bringing the total to $28. Although advertising said there was a microwave in the room, there wasn't (they did move us to a room with one). Some other things we might have overlooked if we weren't angry: the shower is touchy, going from freezing to scalding and back; and the beds were saggy. Get too close to the edge and you'll slide out. A free breakfast is commonly offered nowadays but not here. Coffee and a croissant will set you back $14. Overall we felt nickled and dimed (and more) with unexpected charges and a staff that was oh so nice when you come in but not very nice after you find out what you've gotten yourself in to. Had they not been trying to pick your pocket this would have been an adequate hotel; but after our experience here, Hilton will never see us again.
