Recently updated and incredibly beautiful, Bell's Retreat is the perfect place for the island getaway of your dreams. This free standing, independent home boasts a spacious, open concept living area with comfortable, recently updated furniture and a fully equipped kitchen, Enjoy the company of friends and family relaxing in the living or dining room while preparing meals in the kitchen. There is a stand-alone bar between the kitchen and living room for extra seating with amazing ocean views. Granite countertops are the perfect finishing touch to this beautiful cooking area.

Bell's Retreat offers guests three bedrooms, all facing the ocean, including a large master suite with its own private bathroom. The master suite includes a luxurious king size bed, while the guest bedrooms offer a king size bed and full size bunk bed with a twin trundle. Both bathrooms have been completely renovated and have bright, cheerful colors, as well as double sinks in the master bathroom. The master bedroom and king guest room both allow access to the large oceanside deck, which is the perfect place to sit and enjoy your morning coffee with the peace and quiet of the north end beach.

All fresh linens and towels are provided for our guests. We also provide a starter pack of toilet paper, paper towels, dish washing soap, dish pods, and laundry detergent. Beach chairs, beach umbrella and beach towels are also provided for you to use during your stay.

Pets under 50lbs are welcomed! No aggressive breeds and pet must be crated when guest is away from rental.

We also ask all guests to complete a registration form with Amelia Island Vacations through the secure site of Docusign.

Having the beach so close was a great convenience. If kids needed the bathroom they could pop up to the house quickly, no need to pack a lunch for beach day just made a trip back to the house. Great sunrises

Nice location but needs work
The property is in a nice location but needs attention to detail. The bedrooms lack black-out curtains so they get light very early. Also, there is no screen door for the patio so you cant open the door for air without bugs getting in. The carpet is very old and has a slight musty smell as well. Lastly (and most importantly) the deck is in poor condition. For little kids there are several warped boards that are trip hazards and my daughter tripped once. So, the house "does the job" but could be a 5 star rental with a little investment.

Upon entering the property, we noticed the staircase was in dire need of repair, the beds were below par and slept horribly ( the ONLY suitable mattress was the pull out trundle mind you ) and sheets in the main WERE NOT EVEN CLEAN. My husband told me to just let it be and for us to make the best of our stay and I stripped the sheets for the wash and carried on. Tried to rather... for the price we paid we expected a much better experience and we have traveled quite a bit as a family and never encountered this. This is my first ever negative review and it pains me to write but with no communication at all from the owner I just hope others are aware that this is NOT in great condition and to look at others before settling here. The back deck and crosswalk in completely falling apart and is a liability. The grill needs to be taken off property. It was rusty and filthy. The owner needs to walk the grounds and question if they would rent a place like this and find it acceptable to rent out. There is mold in the master bathroom shower vent and we actually packed up early and left to go back home because of how bad this experience was when normally we don't want to leave. TOTAL LETDOWN. The tile floor was nice.

Love the location. Love hearing the waves right out the door. Looks newly renovated. Easy access to all that Fernandina Beach has to offer, particularly the amazing restaurants. But also nice place to stay home and eat in. We’d be happy to come back.
