If you are desperate for a place to spend the night, this might do. Desk clerk was not rude but not at all welcoming. Lobby isn’t open STILL to COVID and you have to use the night window. Parking area is not well kept and a airs going between floors are rusty and they are just waiting for some one to gash open a foot. Rooms are clean but toilet paper box is rust coming through the paint. It is an older motel with little or no upkeep being done to it. The pool had not been cleaned even though I had called the office to make sure it was open. So unless you don’t mind all the above— enjoy you ur stay.

We travel every weekend with our business.... this is the 3 straight bad-terrible-horrible-nasty experience that i have had with Wyndam Super 8. This one topped the others.... there will not be another one. This is definitely my last time to stay with Wyndam or Super 8. I have never met a ruder person than the man behind the desk. He wanted to treat me as a less superior woman. I am very patient and usually dont get aggravated with people but this man was very disrespectful. I actually took pictures this time of the things I found gross from the room to the outside. I will be looking into other motels this next week.

Okay Stay

Has sitting area separated by half wall. Ice Machine on lower level didn't work (on two separate stays). Very little selection of breakfast items. Not bad, but not as nice as the newer ones on the loop -- closer to Wal-Mart, McDonald's, El Toro, etc. Can't get extra items, such as extra pillows, towels, etc

Cheap

You get what you pay for, I guess. Considering the fact that we were in town visiting family and wouldn't be in the room much we didn't really have a need for anything but basic accommodations, but we probably would have been happier paying another $* and staying somewhere else. Beds were comfortable, and the room AC worked well (at least as long as I kept an eye on whether my toddler had been playing with the controls.) Unfortunately, the advertised WiFi high-speed internet access didn't work from our room (the signal from the hotel's single WiFi access point was too weak) and both of the ice machines were empty whenever we checked (which we found out was likely because kids were taking it to throw into the pool.) Breakfast was also disappointing (English muffins, small blueberry muffins, breakfast cereals, juice and coffee.)

Super 8 Palestine, Texas - 10/31/09

For the money, this was a great value. The room was safe, clean, quiet, and the bed was very comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. There is a small store across the street, and Village Seafood (great food) is within easy walking distance. I cannot complain of anything about my stay, and will stay there again. We were able to obtain information about Octoberfest and the Dogwood Jambore from the staff. It was much to cool to use the pool but it appeared to be well kept.
