We arrived after sunset... The property was poorly lit and navigating the numerous streets to find the building with our room was challenging. You could not see the street names nor room numbers. I actually had to get out of the car to get a closer view. On top of that, you CANNOT park near your room (only briefly to unload/load luggage). Parking is in a LOT at the other side of the property. I can appreciate that it is more visually appealing to keep the streets clear as well as eliminating congestion but maybe have more than one parking area. Another disappointment was the lack of amenities for a property of this size and caliber. We were shocked to discover that we could not do much as get a drink or snack without going through room service. Apparently there was a store but it was closed. Why no vending machines available 24 hours? We were tired so begrudgingly ordered two cans of soda from room service and after a long wait it didn't arrive... Come on, you don't even need to cook it! We gave up and had to get our car from the lot and then drive all the way into Jasper for drinks and snacks... The last thing we felt like doing after an already long day of travel. The room itself was OK... Bed was comfortable. Overall disappointing though.

Our rooms were not cleaned, and the WiFi was patchy.

Such a relaxing place to be. Grounds are beautiful, golf course is excellent and taking out a peddle boat was a great time for our family. We would definitely love to go back.

Our hotel room was a beautiful suite. The view of the lake was breathtaking. Our bed was comfortable and the staff was very helpful. Parking is a little inconvenient because we were closer to the lake we had to park further away as parking is first come first serve and the closer you are to the water the less spots. We loved this hotel also because there was a lot of wildlife on the property. Be aware that this hotel is a few miles away from downtown jasper and therefore restaurants or grocery stores. We had a car rental so this was not a problem. I

Cross between La Quinta and boyscout camp

Rustic and calm, green and pretty. Some of the rooms here need a little updating, but over all we loved it! The pool is nice and the spa looks great. Faimont bought this property a little while ago and it is not up to the same level of luxury as the Lake Louise property of the Banff Lodge, but it is going for a different feel. It is however: in a great - off the main road - peaceful location, the main lodge looks great, the staff is great, the golfing is good (they rent shoes and clubs) you need to either dive into town or take the shuttle ($5 each way). It may seem a little pricey in the summer, but in truth it was only about $40-60 a night more than two other places on the Main Street which we looked into (and those were more like done up motor lodges.). Look at the photos of the rooms and the location to make sure you can live with both. For us this was our favorite hotel of our trip to Banff and Jasper.

Wonderful Vacation

My wife and I stayed for 3 nights and we had a wonderful time. One of the advantages of this property is it is away from the town of Jasper. The town of Jasper is a neat little town but has the Canadian National Railroad running though the town they have a yard in the town where they switch crews. There is approximately 30 to 40 trains a day traveling thru Jasper. The hotels in town are all within 3 blocks of the rail yard so you have the good chance of hearing trains all night long pulling in a leaving. The Fairmont is isolated from this noise making it well worth the price. The grounds of the resort and the facilities are beautiful and well maintained. The staff is very helpful.

This Fairmont location was located in a beautiful setting

Pros: Free Internet, Quiet, location, close to town
Cons: no breakfast, room while clean very beat up inside, wifi very inconsistent connection, service was just ok for a fairmont
Overall average for Fairmont, loved coffe in room and room location. Free wifi but it rarely connected. No breakfast

Nice setting, dated rooms.

The Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge grounds are beautiful. The rooms are average and need updating. Not worth the price.
