The Blue Jay's Blue Chalet is nested in a quiet wooded area, close to wonderful hiking trails, and ski hills. The property, bordered by a stream, is an ideal place for nature lovers. Enjoy a great location in a peaceful setting.

The chalet has been fully renovated while maintaining its original charm. One queen size bed and two twin size beds (trundle bed) are available. The bedrooms are accessible via a steep and narrow staircase, undeniably charming but not for everyone. The kitchen has what is needed for cooking and enjoying meals. Linen and towels are provided.

The chalet is close to the Long Trail hiking trail and approx. 600 yards from the Smugglers' Notch ski resort. The chalet's location makes it feel secluded yet close by is Smuggler's Notch, ski hills, hiking trails and a pub, all within walking distance. In the village of Jeffersonville 5 miles from chalet, one can find restaurants, a post office, hair salon, art galleries, canoe rental. The chalet is a 2 minute drive to Smuggler's Notch ski resort, however in winter the direct road over the mountain between the chalet and Stowe is closed, the drive around to Stowe is approx. 50 minutes.

You can choose from a variety of activities in the area ranging from wine tasting, disc golf, canoeing hiking to ziplining. Don't forget to set aside time to rest, relax and enjoy the surrounding nature.

This is my second season staying in the blue chalet and truly 5/5 stars. From accurate description, easy booking, easy check-in, to a cozy stay for me and my pup, we love this place! Great Autumn Trip
We loved staying at the cozy mountain chalet. It was spotless with a well equipped kitchen. We chose to stay in one night to cook a meal and enjoy the beautiful view while dining at the cabin. We would stay here again.

This place is perfection. The beautiful creek behind the cottage is breathtaking, it’s a cozy little place in the woods. So nice and quiet. The inside is clean, beautiful, perfect for a family of four. The host is very responsive and kind. We will be back. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Nice little house close to activities.
Our family of 4 adults and our dog stayed for 2 nights. House is nice, equipped with kichenware, washer/dryer, coffee maker, AC in main bedroom. Narrow, steep stairs to loft with 2 bedrooms, no door in between rooms. One has queen bed and the other is a day bed with trundle. Trundle bed low to floor was not ideal for adult but we did ok. Loved the brook in backyard with adirondack chairs and firepit. Keep in mind check in time not till 430pm and check out is at 1030am. Close to Smuggs and Stowe if you go thru the notch. We'd love to come back.

Absolutely lovely chalet in a tucked away location yet close to outdoor activities. Very clean and comfortable. Beautiful backyard area with stream. Quick responses from Maude. Super cute chalet but not for everyone
Adorable chalet! Owner was very efficient with getting back to me when I had questions and it was very clean and well kept. Smugglers was literally a 3 min drive! Small things to note when booking….The chalet is tiny. Our family of four (2 adults and 2 kids under 13) found it too tiny. The couches are two love seats and it was challenging for all of us to sit together. The TV is via Chromecast only so make sure you bring a device and know how to do that. Upstairs was hot and we’re from Florida. I’d definitely recommend a standing fan to help circulate air. We tried to use the portable AC/Heater but that didn’t seem to circulate any cold air. Other than that, it’s probably a perfect place for two people, maybe 3. Beautiful surroundings!
