It was ok. Got charged double for the room. But they did fix it a couple of days after! If we didn’t have the extra money we would have been in a bad spot! But building was pretty clean!

Property has aways been very clean but this stay was different. Hallways and elevaror not vacacumed, The room needed better cleaning. I know its been an issue to get enough staff to work so I'm taking that into consideration....I hope it all works out cause I love the hotel and the location!

Lovely property, great location, staff helpful, rooms nice and clean. Water pressure in shower very low; tub bottom very slick; pillows were all too soft; walls are thin....noise from other rooms!

Expected More from HGI

Pros: The employees are very nice and responsive. The maintenance guy was prompt and very helpful.
Cons: Take pride in the rooms. Make sure blemishes are repaired and that everything is in proper working order.
Location: Craighead National Forest is nearby and the kids loved it. There are several good dining options including Skinny J's and Upper Crust pizza.
We normally love staying at HGI, but this was not up to our expectations. The room was nice enough, but the desk and dresser were both damaged. The toilet was not flushing properly when we got there and by day 2, maintenance had come 3 times and we ended up having to switch rooms for our last night. That was a bit of a pain with two young kids.

Great hotel

Pros: The hot tub opened early enough so that we could enjoy it before our day really started. Our room was spacious and clean. Loved it!
My daughter and I stayed two nights in this great hotel. Was close to everything that we were doing for the weekend and easy to find. I would definitely choose this hotel again!
