Kona Makai is a beautiful oceanfront complex with well-maintained gardens, a swimming pool, hot tub, gas barbeques, covered parking and 2 tennis courts. The complex is close to town and within minutes to beaches. Kona Makai is a gated community with open parking and night time security.
This island-styled one bedroom condo features a large lanai area for outdoor dining, perfect for taking in the ocean views while enjoying that delicious cup of Kona coffee! Located on the 2nd floor, ocean views can also be found from the bedroom which allows you to hear and watch the waves on the lava shores at the Kona Makai.
**The living area is equipped with a window AC with a 4-hour timer, ceiling fan and a sofa sleeper. The kitchen is equipped & includes a washer/dryer for your convenience. The bedroom offers a King bed, ceiling fan and a window AC unit that is equipped with a 4-hour timer as well.
**CONSTRUCTION NOTICE:
1: The complex will be water-proofing the gym. They will be excavating the soil on the North side of building 6 to access the exterior wall. During this time the gym will be closed. The excavation will begin on September 11th, 2023. It is estimated that the project will be completed in three weeks. The working times for the contractor are Monday through Friday from 8:00 am-5:00 pm.
2: Beginning Sept 13, 2023 they will begin Phase 1 of spalling project in the complex. The first phase of repairs will address spalling issues on buildings 3,4, and 5. Work will take place M-F: 8AM - 5PM.This will involve work from ladders, pump jacks, scaffolds, extending boom lift and the use of grinders, chipping hammers, and tarps in some areas. Eventually work will be done on buildings 1, 2, and 6. Work will be stopped from Oct 9 - 16 for Ironman and Dec 15, 2023 - Apr 15, 2023. Starting April 15th, the spalling project will resume.
Minimum stay varies seasonally 4 -10 nights. This is a non-smoking, no pets unit. $10 daily additional person fee applies to occupants over the standard occupancy of 2 guests.
