I had really high hopes for this hotel, but our stay was underwhelming and the service at the restaurant was abysmal. We stayed 2 nights. The bed was comfortable enough, but the air conditioning has a sensor on it, so if there is no movement, it turns off including when you're sleeping. The engineer was sent up and he turned off the sensor. Housekeeping came after our 1st night, left fresh towels and took the one coffee cup we used. The bed wasn't made, used wash rags and towels weren't taken and the coffee cup they took wasn't replaced/cleaned. I also requested regular coffee pods because we had 3 decafs and 1 regular. Someone came up carrying 4 decafs. She left and said she'd see what she could find. Never saw her again. Now for the restaurant. It was Mother's Day weekend but the host(ess) said they could get us in for the special brunch. We sat for a few minutes, then went into the buffet room to fix our plates. I asked a manager if we had a server and he said yes then brought our drinks. About 30 min into our meal, still no server. I complained to another manager and they gave us a new server. Apparently the one we had didn't want to wait on us as I asked two different managers at different times if we had a server. And the place is small. There's no way she didn't see us. I'd say this hotel is more a 3 star hotel. And the Savoy restaurant...skip it. The salmon was cold, the quiche was undercooked and cold and the service was terrible even for a buffet.

Very nice hotel close enough to restaurants and bars to be able to walk. Unfortunately the hotel restaurant was not open, but we could have know that if we read enough. We were told that it is a cozy and good restaurant. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I would certainly use this hotel again..

The neighborhood was sketchy to say the least, the hotel had signage identifying it as the “Savoy”, and there was no obvious entrance or parking area in front. My room was dark and claustrophobic, it would have made a good storage room. From the outside, it looked more like ‘fleabag’ than an historic hotel. Other than a few flashy interior details, it did not come off as a luxury hotel. On the plus side, the towels were nice.

Our building was originally built in 1888 as The Savoy Hotel, so a lot of our signage is original and our current hotel restaurant has retained the building name "The Savoy", so we do have some of our original signage still on the building. I apologize that this cause confusion upon arrival and I will share this with the management team so we can look for future solutions.
