College Sorority Reunion
We had 16 of us that had an incredible weekend at this gorgeous home for the 40th reunion of our college pledge class. The main areas of the house had more than enough room for all of us to gather and catch up. There are many, many bedrooms that were found in all parts of the house that worked well for our group. It was such a fun weekend with many new memories that were made.

An Oasis in need of some TLC!
Nice living rooms and comfortable beds; Since the weather was cold and rainy, we did not get to use the pool, outside fireplace, or hot tub. The house had many issues; some more problematic than others. Wish I could leave a more positive review.

Property Not as Advertised
When we arrived at the property it had not been cleaned. We were able to contact the owner, and he stated that he had forgotten to have the property cleaned and he would send a crew right over. Unfortunately, it was dinner time and we didn't want to wait for 60 minutes before we could serve our family of 12. So, we cleaned up the kitchen, threw away the trash, and began to move in and get dinner ready. The cleaning crew eventually arrived and cleaned the bedrooms and bathrooms. We saw them outside, but we weren't sure they sanitized the hot tubs. The following items/amenities were either broken or not working as advertised: The inside hot tub, the sauna, at least one TV, the water heater, the outside cooking grills, the fire balls, the back sliding glass door doesn't lock (a safety hazard), the 1 smoke detector (a safety hazard), the ice maker, the refrigerator doesn't cool correctly and leaks water, the drink cooler is frosted over, the outside bedroom door does not lock from the outside, most of the lamps need working bulbs, the basement door does not lock from the outside, one bathtub drain doesn't stay closed, the main shower leaks, the air hockey table doesn't work. We didn't try the game system. The listed bedroom and bathroom setup is inaccurate. This is NOT a "Luxurious Oasis in Kansas City." It's more like "lipstick on a pig." The host promised to refund the cleaning fee, but he has not done so and has stopped answering our texts and calls.

Lots of space with a great pool!
The space was wonderful! We were able to spread out and sleep comfortably. The house was beautiful. There were some amenities that were out of order (e.g. the outdoor hot tub) which I realize happens in a house that offers so many - but a heads up of what's working and what's not would have been good. Overall it was a great experience at a beautiful property. Thanks so much!

Updated Needed
The house was in a good location for the zoo and Workds if Fin. The pool was very nice for us. I booked and had to pay 13 mos. In advance. The outside hot tub wasn’t working and looked like not for awhile. The inside one would warm up but jets hardly worked. Sauna wasn’t working. I was uneasy with the the outside basement bedrooms. No smoke alarm was working. Nice setup but I would have liked an inside exit. The king bedroom was nice but it’s in an old dog kennel. Decor was pretty but much was in the way. We missed that both garbage disposals weren’t working. This needs to fixing up.

Our trip to KC
The home was beautiful, perfect size for our extended family of 12. It would have been better with dinner seating for 12. We had plenty of plates, glasses, and flatware. Drink refrigerator was a nice plus. The cook top needed a lighter for 2 of the burners, but the double oven was nice. We also appreciated the paper products and garbage bags available. The bedrooms were all nice, and everyone found the beds to be very comfortable. The number of towels and hand soap were appreciated. The pool was enjoyable, but the 2 hot tubs and sauna were a disappointment. The outdoor spa was apart for repairs, and the indoor spa had no workable controls. The sauna door was stuck in the closed position, and we couldn’t figure out how to work the control panel on the wall. The house is beginning to show wear: several doors were difficult to open and/or close, neither garbage disposal worked, kitchen cabinets had loose hinges, and the lower dishwasher rack was broken. The swingset and trampoline were attracting features, but the grass in that area seemed like it hadn’t been cut in a couple weeks, which discouraged the kids from using that space. We did use the fire pit one evening and the outdoor fireplace another evening, so those were nice outdoor features. There was a cloth tree swing in the back and a round tree swing in the front, and the kids really enjoyed them. Poison Ivy by the front swing needs to be removed. Thankfully nothing ruined our trip. We still had a fun time.

Fantastic Property for Large Groups
This place was immaculate in ever sense. The decorations were beautiful, the living spaces were large and comfortable, and the kitchen was top notch. We loved the game room, and the indoor sauna and hot tub were fantastic. There are so many beds I lost count, and even the bunk beds are queen sized, so everyone gets a comfortable place to sleep. I highly recommend staying in this VRBO, and people from my group were already talking about coming back later this year.

Loved our stay at this spacious home in Kansas City
There are not a lot of properties large enough for our extended family for rent in Kansas City, so we were thrilled to find this house. We thought the rules were pretty much common sense and very reasonable. Only thing to be aware of is that the house is 7 bedrooms, not 9 as VRBO advertises (I believe this is a clerical error by vrbo). Appreciate the prompt replies of the owners and the well-stocked house.

This home had beautiful accommodations, the pool area and outside space was very relaxing, and the spacious group areas worked very well for our charity retreat. I would highly recommend this property. It also is very close to restaurants.

Great house - not as clean as expected
The house was exactly as described, a nice house with great amenities. I had to request the check in instructions twice, after that they were prompt with my inquires. Like others I got the lengthy list of 'rules' as part of the check in process. Most of the rules are expected. But this house being in a quiet neighborhood and no expectation of being outside after 9:30 pm may be a deal breaker for some. I would expect the owners to disclose that before a nonrefundable booking. Given the expectations on cleanliness of the guests, I was surprised at the amount of stains on the couch, smudges on the walls, dirty windows, dirt in the pool/hot tub. Wasn't something that ruined our trip, but when you have such a rigid list of rules, you should be delivering a nearly ideal property. There is a smell in the house, there are a LOT of plug-ins throughout the house. I assume trying to cover up a musty smell throughout. I noticed it right away, but didn't say anything to my guests hoping they wouldn't notice... they all noticed and said something. I was surprised there wasn't a list of "how-to's" like there are in other places I’ve stayed. I understand they want to be sure you do the fire bowls correctly (and under their supervision), but how to turn on the water fall/shut the main bathroom hot tub jets off (they run all the time) would have been nice.
