I stayed at this property before 15-years ago in November 2007 and it is about the same or slightly declining. Granted, it's been 15 years, but in that time, you would have though some money would have been invested in the rooms. I guess I just had fonder memories of the place, but on this stay, it just seemed things were a bit more dingy and smelled a bit more mildewy. The rooms have not changed AT ALL. Still incredibly sterile with no flare. But, all hotel rooms look exactly the same with the lights out, so it was a decent stay for two nights to accommodate my scuba diving passion and the scuba dive operation is a right next door. Would I stay here again? Sure, if it's a scuba diving trip where the boat leaves from merely 100 yards or less from my hotel room, absolutely. Count on it. It's also the cheapest place in Key Largo, but if you're looking for awesome accommodations, this place ain't it. Keep in mind, I am scuba diving, so I am living like a beach bum the entire time and this place accommodates such a person as I. If you're not concerned about frills, stay here. It is worth the money, but I would like to expect a bit more at nearly $250 per night.

Marina Del Mar was in a beautiful location. The rooms are very clean. Fresh clean linens. There was an ironing board, iron, shampoo, rinse, lotion, soap, wonderful free breakfast, daily cleaning of rooms, nice lush towels and wash clothes, the pool is large and nice, the location is very convenient to Walgreen, gas, shopping, grocery store was not too far away. Our stay was wonderful. The continental breakfast had: boiled eggs, hot biscuits w egg/cheese/sausage, pastries, yogurt, cereals, oatmeal, milk, orange juice, coffee. It was delicious and filling. We will define stay again.

This was one of the worst places I have stayed when looking for a simple hotel accomodation for an overnight travel through the Keys. The closed door inside the room leaked so you can see light all around at night and hear EVERYTHING outside. In FL on the water that also welcomes bugs. There’s a pad locked closet in the room that is just overall creepy and a piece of carpet atop a dresser that looks like it is harboring all kinds of priors. I honestly don’t know why anyone would stay here. The staff was nice but the room itself left so much to be desired, I would never consider this place again.
