Kyoto tower area was easily walkable from the hotel and Kyoto station. Part of the Japan experience is walking around to see the city. Breakfast buffet was good as well

An excellent hotel, conveniently close to Kyoto Station. Rooms are always clean and comfortable. Shuttle bus to and from Kyoto Station is convenient if you have heavy luggage. I have stayed here many times and have had nothing but positive experiences.

Pros: Amazing and helpful staff - assisted with storage of our luggage multiple times (came back to the hotel with many shopping bags) & assisted to order a taxi & give directions for us. Staff were also close to or fluent in English - great customer service for English-speaking visitors. Very clean hotel & hotel room. Nice amentities - comfortable hotel slippers, skincare kit, razor, hair ties, etc!. The staff also gave us extra skincare sets - samples of skincare products inside. Upscale and beautiful environment. Nice large room with a place to seat down together. Close to Aeon shopping mall (great for afforable meals & groceries) & the station department stores. Walkable distance to the Kyoto station with temples & sites to see. Walkable distance to department store Keio. Well-known hotel - taxi driver didn't even need GPS to drive us back. Con: the shower ran hot and cold - had to take a star off for this :(. If the showers were upgraded it would definitely be 5 stars for me. The bathroom floor drain was also a little smelly - I just put a towel over it and it was all good. A little bit of a walk from the station compared to hotels across from the station. Overall: Would love to book again on our next trip to Kyoto due to the friendly & helpful staff, clean hotel & hotel room.

Great location as only a short walk from the station and a shopping centre with food court is also a very short walk away. Staff were very accommodating in keeping our luggage before and after checkout. The hotel itself is in very good condition and the room was very large in comparison to the rest of Japan. Also had an almost normal size western bathtub which was a plus. Breakfast great for convenience but not a huge selection for western tastes.
