A wonderful place to stay
What a wonderful hotel and the only one in this little village. A very spacious character building with plenty of room to sit and enjoy the comfortable surroundings. Our well equipped room was very large as well as the bed, we particularly liked the seated bay window with a view into the village. Staff were very friendly and well presented. The food was delicious particularly the breakfast which was enormous and struggled to eat all of it. It's location is ideal for a more tranquil getaway and is particularly popular with hikers and dog walkers. For what we paid in the February half term in our opinion was an absolute bargain compared to other hotels. We certainly recommend this hotel and if we are ever back in the area we will definitely stay there again.

Epic fail
We booked this as we had seen so many good reviews however these were from 1st of January and before. We stayed on 27th January. The hotel is in a great location the rooms were very nice the restaurant and bar were nice however….. There was a young guy looking after the hotel who really nice and worked extremely hard trying his best to serve everyone on his own. The bar area was busy and he was rushed off his feet. The restaurant should have been closed as it was terrible, the menu was extremely limited 2 starters and 4 mains and they couldn’t complete those dishes properly as they didn’t get a full delivery although there is a shop across the road. Service was extremely slow and we waited over an hour for burgers that were missing salad and sauces and were under cooked. Pretty much everyone had a complaint about the food and service. It is such a shame as it has so much potential. We visited the Marton arms earlier Where the food is excellent yet only had drinks as we were looking forward to the restaurant at the new inn We will go back possibly once the restaurant is functioning as a professional kitchen rather than a scene from fawlty towers

Lovely pre Christmas weekend
We had a wonderful stay at the New Inn. Great area for walking, we did Ingleborough which we really enjoyed! The rooms are lovely and the food is delicious. The pub inside is cosy. We’d definitely return and would recommend 👏😊
