Front desk man was rude upon check in and in the morning on Saturday. The toilet ran non-stop and I asked for no disturbance due to sickness and the house cleaner came knocking anyway

This property is worn and filthy! Our room was filthy. Dirt all over the floor, dirt and dust clumps on the bed and the air conditioner and door handle were both broken! Informed the front desk and were switched to another room. We were told it may be better because it had a different housekeeper. The second one smelled of URINE, filthy, scratched laminate flooring, filthy windows, who knows what on the outside of the toilet bowel, smeared 'stuff' on the walls, no shower curtain, no remote, one coffee cup, large gap at the bottom of the door, and the tub drain was so plugged, water filled up the bottom of the tub during a short shower... We'd traveled a great distance to bring our son to college, had our dog, and where else could we go last minute with a dog?!? Planning this trip took a while to find a place that accepted 'regular' pets. We stayed... wore shoes (not daring to go barefoot).... the sheets were scratchy & made me itch all night. The purpose of the trip was to help our son move in and celebrate him and this new chapter in his life. All of the inconveniences are unacceptable. Called Red Roof Inn's headquarters and received an apology e-mail, including an invitation to try their place again...? A REFUND is in order. Travelocity, why are places like this allowed to be on your site?!?

Ok location convenient to freeways. Didn’t get breakfast but coffee horrible. Room was beat with pealing drawer. Clean enough. No fridge or microwave. Worth 20 or 30 bucks to stay at slightly better property unless just a quick crash

Close to MSU

The room itself was what I expected. On the morning after our first night the toilet stopped functioning, threatening to overflow. We called the desk and they promised to send someone, which they apparently did while we were gone. Breakfast was continental. I like protein of some sort and there was really nothing that would sustain you. When we came back in the afternoon the room had not been cleaned. The bed was unmade and there were no fresh towels. I tried to call the front desk but the circuits were busy which was weird. Then we noticed the bathroom light was flickering. We were tired so we took a nap only to wake up to find that the electricity was completely off. I strolled down to the office and discovered that some repair work done by the electrical utilities had resulted in loss of power. It came back on about an hour later. I think maybe we just hit this hotel on a bad day. The front desk staff seemed accommodating and like everyone one else in Michigan, very nice. Parking was easy and the sidewalks were clear of snow. Beds were pretty on par with other hotels at this price point.

good place to stay in e lansing.

Pros: The people at the front desk were very pleasant and actually seemed like they enjoyed their job!
Cons: Maybe it could be cleaned up a little more.
Location: Not too much; it's good for stopping by on the way to a farther destination.
It's not great, but for the price it is worth it. It looked like it might be noisy, but it was pretty quiet where I stayed.
