I love that all the staff at The Flamingo was really nice. Although not many good choices, they had a really good buffet. Our room was very clean. I especially love the blanket. Usually hotels’ blanket are thin, but theirs weren’t. Overall, I loved everything. The only thing that could be improve is the WiFi. It disconnects every few minutes & I can’t make a call once I am in the room.
I have stayed at The Flamingo several times over the past 15 or so years. This stay was better than the previous two with noticeable room remodels. The buffet was a disappointment. The food was cold and staff no longer serves beverages - coffee, juice etc. is serve yourself and instead of cream for coffee, they offer cream substitute. I miss the 24 hour cafe style restaurant where you could order a good sit-down breakfast instead of the grab-and-go prepackaged sandwich from the couple of lobby stands. A definite plus for The Flamingo is its access to the promenade which offers a great variety of restaurants and shops.
Very cool place and would definitely stay here again. However, housekeeping was below par. There was an opened condom wrapper in our room when we arrived and one of the beds had obviously dirty sheets. They did offer to come clean the room again and comped some food for us.
