My visit was a disappointment because I was sent a message by Hotels.com to call the management at the hotel about a complaint I made to Hotels.com about the new additional use of spa facilities fee of $20 plus the inflated resort fee of $44 per night. Last I remember, this resort fee was in the $30 range and now it's $44/night. Ok I accept that and new a fee would be coming, but another $20 to use the spa area? Really? When I called the management number sent to me by Hotels.com, I spoke to an employee and I explained the new $20 fee on top of the increased resort fee was a surprise and disappointment to me since that is the only reason I stayed there on this trip, and I thought it should have been disclosed. Her response to me was what did I want them to do about it. Then she told me I'd have to repeat the story and talk to an actual manager. I told her I was calling them at their request and she could pass on the complaint. She clearly didn't care at all and was not concerned. I never heard back from an actual manager. My opinion of this property is that it has been remodeled in the lobby, but for years the guest rooms are the same and unchanged. Keeping the same decor for years, but it doesn't stop the resort from charging guests for amenities they should have access to for free.
