There is only ONE set of elevators for your block of about 12 floors of rooms, so you have to walk a looong way to your room (ours was 250 PACES each way) and back many times per day. Our room was almost diagonally opposite the elevator; everyone we encountered complained about the distance and time involved. The elevators are frequent and fast, though. They go at an angle up and down the pyramid, which makes for some lurching and funny sounds, but it was ok. Rooms are silent; that was nice. The rooms are a bit chipped and worn, but not terribly so. Very clean. Big bathroom. Very comfy bed and pillows. Saw Blue Man Group and Fantasy right in the hotel, which is a big plus not having to travel. (Loved both shows.) The buffet was worth every penny, if you buy the all-day wristbands for $50 each. It is fun to stay in a pyramid-shaped hotel, so the Luxor is worth it. Just try to get a room close to the elevator for convenience and timeliness.
