Good location in a tourist destination

With free shuttle service to and from the Mont every 10-15 minutes, the location of this hotel is great. I arrived by car and there were plenty of parking spaces, although you must pay a fee for a code to arrive at the hotels/restaurants at the base of the Mont (for a new security gate and security personnel). Each time you leave, you need a new code so if you plan to do a lot of day trips from this area, you may want to investigate alternative parking areas. There are only a few hotels at the base of the Mont, and I would only actually consider staying in a couple of them. I requested a quiet room and mentioned this several times to staff, both via email and upon arrival. I don't sleep very well when traveling. My room was just around the corner from the front desk. You can hear EVERYTHING in the rooms (someone plugging in a charger, for example). Guest noises were normal activities, but the walls are thin. And the doors are VERY heavy and slam constantly (during cleaning, etc). Luckily I only had 2 nights here. The restaurant for this hotel is not fabulous, but offers "food" at tourist prices. The breakfast service is in this same restaurant. Breakfast includes the standards - breads/pastries, cereals, yogurts, cheeses, scrambled eggs, bacon/sausage, juices and coffees. Not sure if this restaurant is staffed by the hotel, but I would recommend eating at the place across the street (nice pasta and crepes) or the place down the street by the dams. Poor service.
