Chateau SalMichele Farm Guest House is a quaint Cape Dutch farm guest house that was built in the sixties on a small farm holding of Hartebeestfontein at the foothill of the Magaliesburg mountain as a residence of a school Headmaster. The house is still in its pristine condition with wooden, rock flooring with spacious room and an open space drawing room adjoining a dining area with a fire place.
he garden is set up in a natural scene of local flower and fauna boosting with a boutique dam where the “Malachite Kingfisher” is a regular visitor. Over 30 local indigenous birds frequently visit the farm, along with that there is a rare sighting of the Blue crane and paradise flycatchers. The farm house offers 4 bedrooms and can accommodate 6 people.
Every morning, the delightful sounds of roosters crowing and the company of goats and bunnies greet you, making farm house living truly joyful. The Blue monkeys, weasels, squirrels, meerkats, impalas and gemsboks are regular sightings at farm house.
This farm house is only a 45 minutes drive from Johannesburg and is situated in the Hartebeestfontein conservancy and Magaliesburg Meanders precinct.
