Maybe we were unlucky, but we paid £150 for a room which in the basement, bed jammed over against one wall, fittings (like taps) which threatened to fall off at any time and a wet room shower which made every other room wet too.

Our stay didn’t start well, our allocated room had a leak and so part of the ceiling was coming in. Reception did sort a new room quickly but we appeared to be downgraded to the basement. The basement smells of raw sewage, this gets worse as the day goes on. The bed linen was dirty, towels very basic quality, very tired room, bathroom unclean. Do not stay at this hotel, pay a little more and go elsewhere. When we went to reception with these issues, they didn’t seem to care or take anything on board. Other reviews say the same. Keep away

Beyond me how they expected this room to be used
The room is decent and looked nice enough and tidy and clean. However .... forst niticed bathroom sink water did not drain away, after struging decided to look myselfn 10 minutes later and fistfull of clogged hair (ewww) had water draining from the sink, there is no way they could not know when cleaning sink. Next up, the shower awas scoldingbhot, did not adjust to lower temperature, had to go to an evening event so no yome to get repaired, so was a dive in and out a few repeated times best I could to wash with a few screams (was scolding). Next up had a TV but no remote, went downstairs to ask for one, this was quute quick in being sorted. Come the morning microwave does not work but worst still kettle did not work so no coffee 😪😪 was thank ful to leave and go have a nice coffee somewhere. Any basic check carroed out of room would have surely picked up.most or these issues, so beyond me how they sell the room in that condition and not cheap either.
