Hotel room was good size and clean. Staff was very polite. But here were the drawbacks - NO free internet anywhere. ONE small mirror in bathroom and NONE in room. NO electrical outlet in bathroom! Cheap and few products - bath gel and shampoo only. No lotions and no hair dryer. VERY flat uncomfortable pillows. Bed ok. Linens and blanket good. Thankfully, windows open because there is NO AC!!! HOT! There is a mini kitchenette with fridge, microwave, hot water heater and plates/flatwear but NO COFFEE OR TEA...I asked at front desk and was sent to the grocery store if I wanted this. VERY BASIC hotel/apt. But this was a a last minute trip...so price and location was ok, but probably would not stay here again due to lack of mirrors for getting ready and products/internet/AC. ABout 4 long blocks from South Kensington underground, but lots of taxis/uber nearby. Sainsbury is a block away as well.

Our stay started with Justin at the front desk allowing us to leave our luggage since our rooms were not ready yet...we we're thankful! Our room was fabulous! I was nervous from some bad reviews but truly I am wondering where they stayed. Everything was tastefully decorated, clean and perfect! As three generations of women traveling together the rooms, the front desk and the location was, again, perfect. Would definitely recommend.

Convenient place to stay

Pros: Location, lightness of rooms and airiness.
Love the location of this apt. hotel and that the rooms have kitchens. Rooms light and airy. However, walls and plumbing a bit on the shabby side. Bathroom sink did not drain properly. TV did not work. Only there 3 days so not worth saying anything until we left. Clean enough. Corridors of building shabby, too. However, one does not stay in the hallways. All in all it was fine.

Pros: Walking distance to shopping.
The hotel was undergoing renovation. There was plywood on the floors, walls needed to be painted, and the carpet in the hall was old. You had to pay for Wi-fi and only one person could use the code.

Nice hotel, but staff seemed pretty indifferent

Pros: Clean, convenient room with expected amenities. Having a washer/dryer in the room was very nice as well. Instructions for it would have been good.
Cons: Instructions to operate the washer/dryer. Get people to smoke away from the windows. Stop leaflets being jammed noisily through mail slot at all hours
Location: Lots of shopping if you're into that. Several excellent museums within walking distance, which we very much enjoyed.
It was a good location for visiting museums, etc, in London. We were a bit confused as to when or if certain things provided at the start (like toilet tissue) would be replaced, or if we were on our own after the complimentary supplies provided. Staff was a little odd; the lady who actually gave me the key was very pleasant, but the desk people always acted like you were bothering them, on the couple of occasions I had a question. Also, our room was on the 1st floor (one up from ground level), on the street side of the building. People from the bars in the area, as well as from the hotel, would stand outside and smoke just under the window of our room, making the room smell and talking loudly at all hours of the night. Also, there seemed to be a surprising amount of "racing" on the street; loud car engines, horns, etc. I'd recommend requesting a room not facing the street, higher up, or both.

Great location

The positive points are the location is walking distance to the tube, many popular attractions and to grocery. Staff were very helpful and accommodating. The only things that I personally am not use to is small room and no towel exchange. You have to wash your own towels and no washcloths. They exchange them weekly. Also the rooms were very warm it was 50 degrees Farenheit outside and we had all the windows open. None of this was a deal breaker for my husband and I. Overall we had a lovely holiday in London and would come back to this location.
