So this review isn't so much about the Horseguards itself as it was a fine hotel in the right location for what we needed. The staff was great. What I didn't like is prepaying on travelocity to get the low price and then get hit with $65 (50 british pounds) per night service fee. That drastically changed the price per night and I feel was underhanded by either travelocity or horseguards. The stay was fine, but the fine print got me here, others need be aware.

We do take great pride in our regal Victorian building, which boasts many of its original fittings, including the ornate tiled flooring. We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It is located quite nicely within easy walking distance to many of the central London attractions. Additionally, the Underground is very nearby and you can get to anywhere you want rather quickly.

We are certainly within walking distance of many of the top London tourist attractions, such as Piccadilly Circus, Trafalgar Square, Covent Garden, Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, Charing Cross, Leicester Square and many more but still in a serene spot away from all the hustle and bustle of the city. Staff was soooo accommodating and helpful!!! From the moment of checkin (wish I could remember his name, would love to give him additional Kudos for going above and beyond !!!) To the waitstaff (Happy) especially on the morning when we ordered take away breakfast !!! To the bellmen who opened the doors morning and evening with a smile....sooo welcoming... Not to mention the location and history of the hotel was perfect !!! Would love to return again soon....
