The property itself is at the end of renovations, which I believe should have been made known. In addition, there wasn't a microwave located on the property. We were told that we would have to go to the "gas station". Overall, pretty average.

Staff was friendly. This hotel is conveniently near major attraction like venice beach, santa monica pier, walk of fame, downtown etc. Exterior deff needs a remodel/ new look..

Location short distance from the freeway & 1/2 block from Metro. Outside is sketch and under construction, but inside is quite nice with friendly helpful staff. Room was excellent, recently updated during reconstruction, and couldn't hear freeway traffic despite proximity. Parking is 1st come basis and can fill up. Short distance to grocery stores.

I once lived in Los Angeles as was not sure about this hotel. However, I was pleasantly surprised at the vast improvements (and still ongoing) that are being done to it, inside. Great stay and will definitely stay again.

I wish I had pics. The hotel has been renovated. I was worried looking at the reviews. The hotel has gotten rid of the carpet. They now have shower doors. The furniture was wood and leather. I wish I had taken pics. The new rooms are exactly has pictured. The breakfast is decent. I had waffles that I made myself. I parked my car near the door. I didn't have to call for room service. The towels are too thin for my preference. I honestly had great service. Oh the hotel is close to many attractions too.

My hotel room smelled like cigarette smoke even though it was supposed to be non-smoking. The walls had stains on them from coffee splatter? and overall the facilities were very worn and could use repairs. However, there were nice granite counter tops for the bathrooms and dressers in the hotel and the room otherwise seemed well cleaned (bedding, linens, carpets, bathroom were well cleaned). I think you get what you pay for in downtown LA, i.e. this is a more affordable hotel, but lacking in quality.
