    the worst

Want to be treated like a decent human being? Don’t stay at Shelter Hotel. A staff member told me to leave my room for cleaning. I checked in 24 hours before. My schedule was inflexible & I had nowhere to go. I declined cleaning. The staff member became enraged. Citing an arbitrary cleaning policy, he implied that, if I did not leave my room before 2pm, I would be removed. I went downstairs to report this man. Come to find, he was the manager of the entire place. The manager is petulant and unprofessional. I’ll spare you a transcript demonstrating his embarrassing lack of social tact. What you need to know: he will belittle you, invite you to leave, and refuse to give you the contact information of those above him. (Almost as though he knows his behavior would have him fired!) Get ready for snarky, sarcastic laughing, slouching, egotism, and zero sense of responsibility. If having a half-decent, safe environment is what you want out of your stay, don’t go to Shelter. I left because I was afraid this man would use the room key and bust into my room. Hotels are about more than a bed; I would have gone to a motel if I wanted to be treated like a dog. Cheap accomodations, shotty security, & dehumanizing service. Honorable mentions, from the mouth of the manager: “You feel unsafe? No one’s keeping you here. You can check out.” “I will not give you the owner’s number. Complaints all go through me. HR goes through me. Call that [fraudulent] if you want.”

    BEWARE

One step up from a roach motel, this small hotel has gone through extensive remodeling to make it passable as a hotel and not a motel. However, we pay for not just the room, but also the whole experience, and this is where the place fails. The general manager (who also claims he's a partner) was completely rude and condescending. We will never stay here again and wish we had read all the horrible reviews on Google (that mirror our complaints) before staying here.

The check in person his name was Glenn he was the rudest most disrespectful person I ever came across in my entire life. He insulted me by saying to me do I know how to read. He then was getting loud and raising his voice. I will never in my life stay here again
