This is a very nice Econo Lodge that's a couple of blocks away from the Convention Center. The room was comfortable. The only gripe is that even with a prepaid reservation they charge a $100 deposit at check-in. The desk clerk informed me that both of the credit cards I gave here were declined and insisted that I would have to pay a cash deposit. I asked her to call the manager, who was able to enter the credit card successfully. The deposit still hasn't been refunded, however.

This place was great for just needing a place to crash at night. It is a little noisy, but it's also downtown Louisville. There were a few negative things like almost not having a room when we were checking in because of overbooking...then the surprise $5 per night parking fee....but the room itself was actually awesome (I recommend asking for a room without an adjoining door though.) It was clean, comfortable, good shower pressure. Breakfast in the morning was okay.

The front desk attendant at night questioned me and the validity of my reservation. Claiming later he already did the night audit and I was too late to check in. He was super rude. I am an educated cordial person. This guy was not a representative I would have for my company. Offensively rude. The floor in the room was dirty as hell. I used a white towel to stand on after showering and it turned immediately brown from filth in the laminate fake wood flooring. The breakfast was……lacking. The surrounding customers seemed to keep stirring til very late hours. Loud talking in the hallways outside the rooms at late hours. There were many homeless people in the parking lot at various times. They weren’t rude, but lurking. My date made a comment on how sketchy the place was when just walking up to the room.
