Pepin Mansion is a lovely and unique place to stay. The rooms are very comfortable and elegant, breakfast is nice, and the neighborhood is historic with a lesson is American architecture in every block. Be advised that all the bathrooms are a long flight down stairs from the bedrooms which could be a problem for some.

Large old home in New Albany. Comfortable rooms with typical high ceilings. Good heat on a chilly night. Just right for a change from chain motels.

Innkeeper Brian was the best! He was quick to respond to all of our needs and delivered a gourmet breakfast. Wonderful change from traditional hotel. Five Star PLUS rating!

Nice to take a break from routine hotels. Very comfy bed! Plenty of space in our suite which was complete with it's own sitting room and bath with shower. TVs in sitting room and bedroom. Plenty of good lighting and ventilation. Hosts Bryan and Mary very nice. Showed us around mansion upon arrival. Pointed out eateries close by. Fixed an amazing breakfast of yogurt with granola, fruit, scrambled eggs Florentine, bacon and muffins! Shared some good conversation as a start to our day. What could be nicer! Area has plenty of places to eat and enjoy. We will certainly consider the Pepin on future trips.

A place to just stop and sleep turned into a truly memorable evening. My wife was presently surprised when instead of just pulling into a motel off an interstate exit we arrived in a charming safe area of town and stoped in front of a lovely 1850’s Italian mansion. We arrived late because we stopped at a great gastro pub nearby that the staff had recommended and had a wonderful gourmet meal. Late Checkin can be a problem at B&B’s but it was simple and no hassle at all! We stepped inside and we wife and I were instantly enchanted. The mansion looks it probably did when it was new. It’s so well kept up and clean. I just felt great to be there! The bed was a beautiful carved work with of art! It was spacious and comfortable! In fact there plenty of room in the suite. The house was totally calm and we didn’t hear a peep. There was a TV with streaming video including live TV and movies. There plenty of power outlets by the bed! The AC worked well so it was comfy too! The bathroom was complete adequate considering they would not originally had one during the time period of construction of the mansion. Breakfast was outstanding! Fresh cut fruit, homemade granola, yogurt, hot frittata, fresh baked blueberry muffin. The portion was filling and the quality of everything was top notch. We walked around the grounds the next morning and just enjoyed looking around at the architecture in this area. There was one thing wrong with our stay! It was too short!
