Lovely historic hotel

Beautifully restored historic hotel in the heart of downtown. Can't imagine anyone not having a pleasurable experience here. Would definitely stay here again.

Classic Sophistication

Pros: The service is impeccable, the décor is classic, old Louisville. The beds are heaven! Stay on the club floor and have Sunday brunch at the Oakroom!
Cons: The Club room needs to be available 24 hours, even with limited service. I was disappointed the desserts were taken away at 9pm.
Location: Fourth Street Live is directly across the street! This is the best place to stay for late night, city life.
A girls' spa weekend was capped off by a stay at the Seelbach Hilton in Louisville, Kentucky. We opted for a room on the Club Floor (7) with two double beds. The rooms are smaller than their direct competitor--the Brown Hotel, but somehow nicer. The beds are plush and dressed in high thread-count, Egyptian cotton sheets, down duvets, and the best pillows imaginable. The bath was tiny, but clean and classic. Free toiletries are of good quality and include shower caps, mending kits, cotton balls, etc. in addition to the standard options. The club room provided excellent cheeses, charcuterie, fruit, crackers, and an honor bar in the afternoon, desserts in the evening, and a hot breakfast the following morning. Soft drinks and water were available 24 hours in a dedicated refrigerator just outside the club room.

Nice hotel - very close to all downtown sites

Pros: It was very close and within walking distance to all of the downtown sites that we were interested in seeing. The elevators ran very quickly.
Cons: When the A/C unit in our room was running, it blew directly across the bed and was extremely cold. We never found a comfortable setting.
Location: Downtown location was close to all the museums and Fourth Street Live, which had live entertainment and lots and good restaurants.
This was a nice hotel. The staff was great. The history of the hotel was very interesting, too.
