Year-round outdoor fun awaits at this lovely home in the hills of southern Vermont! Located right on the banks of Lake Rescue and just a few miles from Okemo Mountain Resort, this spacious rental accommodates up to 10 guests and features a huge deck, a game room, and a cozy wood-burning fireplace, along with beautiful views of the gorgeous New England scenery from nearly every room.

This home is tucked away about four miles north of the village of Ludlow, and about 20 miles south of the popular resort destination of Killington. No matter what time of year you plan to visit, you'll find an exquisitely beautiful landscape just waiting to be explored. In the summer, lace up your boots and head out for an invigorating hike through the mountains, or spend a lazy day fishing at one of the local lakes. When the weather turns cold, ski down the snowy slopes of Okemo Mountain or ice-skate across the frozen waters of Lake Rescue.

Inside, huge windows and hardwood accents give this home a handsome, rustic feel. In the fall, make a cup of coffee and head outside to the deck, where you'll enjoy a front-row seat to the spectacular golds and reds lighting up the trees around you. When the weather turns cold, warm up with a hot meal in the dining room while watching the snow softly fall outside. Cable and free WiFi help while away the hours, and a wood-burning fireplace keeps things cozy and warm. The family dog is also welcome to come along for an additional nightly fee.

Spacious Spot
Came up with 10 ppl, and there was definitely enough room for all of us from the bedrooms to the living room to the dining room Beds were a bit creaky, and the doors do not keep out sound. In fact, I could look right through the crack in the door into the hallway on the main floor, so don't recommend if you're a light sleeper Scenery was beautiful, though. Wouldn't mind staying here again

In the trees
The house was nice and plenty of room for 8 people. Be prepared for a lot of steps. The front deck is great and with the height you see a lot. The creek/stream/brook next to the house was flowing due to the recent rains and made for a wonderful background noise for the house.

Will definitely come back
House was great. Plenty of room, large table for family meals, plows came early to get the 15" out of the way. Place was clean and as advertised.

Nice Property
Overall we had a great time at this property. As other listing reviews indicated, the furniture is a little worn but did the trick. The temperature in the rooms fluctuated a lot depending on which room you were in which made sleeping a little uncomfortable. All in all the property was clean, kitchen had a good amount of things and the house was big enough for 8 people. I would recommend the property in the future.

Comfortable home "In the Trees"
We had a lovely time at this home. It was the perfect size for our group and close to the mountain. My one recommendation would be to provide more basic kitchen supplies as serving bowls and cooking utensils, which were lacking. I would definitely rent here again.

Cozy place with plenty of space
Overall, this house was at a great location. It's cozy with plenty of space for kids to play, and adults to hang out. The only downside was the kitchen sink set up. Everything was jammed into one corner - the sink, fridge, dishwasher, and stove/oven. Only one person could be in that corner at one time. The other complaint was the lack of paper goods - there was a quarter roll of toilet paper and no back up, maybe a few sheets left on the paper towel roll with no back up. Should provide at least one back up each, if you aren't going to include them in the house stay. It's just a nice touch to include them, so we didn't have to run out.

issue with cleaning
Some of the house bedding was filthy and had blood on it. I sent the photos in a prior email. That was a huge disappointment, but because it was a family get together with my children and grandchildren, we work through it

Perfect house- just what we needed
This house was perfect for our stay. We actually used to own it in the 90s so it was a walk back to memory lane. We loved making new memories here with our kids and the house was very well kept. Layout is perfect including the room off the kitchen to eat at and play cards without any bugs. House was very clean. Everything is close by including a walk to red bridge to see the falls. We thoroughly enjoyed our home away from home stay and will love to come back in the future

Vermont is Beautiful
The location of the house was very nice. No air conditioning it was very hot, we opened windows and turned on fans. Whoever cleans needs to deep clean move furniture under and behind. Lots of cob webs dead bugs ect. Clean screens and ceiling vans. Box fans dirty as well. Beds clean and so were the tubs. Spend the money and pay your cleaners to stay longer and do a better job. I know it’s a winter place but beautiful in the summer too. Due to life as we know it at this time we had to travel to find a restaurant we could dine in at, call ahead and make sure places are open before you believe what it states online. Overall good time
