Dear Anonymous, Thank you for taking the time to review your recent stay at the Mammoth Mountain Inn, and I am delighted you enjoyed your stay! The views here are certainly breathtaking and are not something to be taken for granted. We hope to welcome you back the next time your travels bring you to the Eastern Sierra.

Old and run down. There was no heat in the room first night. No WiFi for the whole stay. No way to coordinate rentals and lift tickets at the resort. Ver poor service for Travelocity guests. Was told they dont help third party guests who book on travel sites. Do not expect a great vacation experience.

This property is just so bad. I’m embarrassed for them. In no way shape or form should they be renting these out to families. They are extremely old, run down and unfit for occupancy. I stayed here 5 years ago thinking it was a premium location/resort on par with a Sheraton/Marriott. Was shocked then when I saw how rundown it was. Railings chipping if paint, doors rotted out, carpet from 70’s, counters so low in bathrooms... dogs could drink water from them, beds that are concave like tacos from so many travelers, pillows that are a piece of homedepot foam with thin fabric over them. Ironically, 5 years later when I visited - I thought to myself, “surely they have updated it by now”. BUT, SHOCKINGLY...not one change. And they want top prices for everything. For example two croissants and two coffees in their crappy coffee shop is $40. The rooms are $250-350. This place only sell rooms because the customers are desperate during ski season

The hotel bar and restaurant was disappointed experience. The workers need more training of hospitality. One evening my wife and seat down in the bar area about 4:45 pm to dinner which did not start until 5:00 pm. We asked for for dinner menu and one working stated food will not be available until 5:00pm which was okay with us but he had a very bad attitude and face mean expression on his face and he did even asked us if we wanted to order drinks instead until 5:00 pm. We had another waiter approached our table and we order our drinks from him. I observed two families entered in the bar area before we do and left about 20 minutes or so because one waiter had serve them in a decent time timeframe. I get it working during the holidays came be stressful but we the guests planned a special getaway and pay a lot money for good accommodations and services we deserve. Housekeeping services was very good but them also need to check the in room refrigerator and discard any leftover items before the arrival guests check into there room. Also wipe / clean the bathroom counter and mirror during the daily room services. I give excellent service rated to the bell services staff members. Very professional and polite personality and demonstrated great hospitality to all guests stay or stop into the lounge area. Beside the bar and resort restaurant disappointments I will still considere to stay there because its close to the ski lifts and Snowcat and the Snow mobile adventure tours.

Super nice staff, comfortable rooms. Everything was lovely. One serious suggestion (because I spent a day in the ER with altitude sickness) is to post the altitude of the hotel. I was naive about the physical challenges of thin air, at that altitude.
