Nice hotel with good restaurants.

Pros: Hotel staff, layout, pool area, restaurant choices on the property.

Cons: The masonry in the shower wasn't quite finished. No big deal but just looked a little unfinished considering the rest of the room.

Location: Close to everything in Bahrain...though considering its size, everything in Bahrain is close to everything in Bahrain. City Centre Mall very close.

Booked the luxury room to make for a little better vacation than a standard room. Upon entering I was somewhat let down at the room for the price paid. It was in fact a very nice room, but I was expecting more out of such a price like the rooms I've had in Dubai for similar rates. Very comfortable bed! Well stocked mini bar, and a nice clean bathroom. The pool area was very nice! I spent most of my days out at the swim up bar. Overall a good choice. I would stay here again but I wouldn't spend the extra money on the luxury room again.

The hotel made me feel welcomed

Pros: Free breakfast, Free Internet, Quiet

The hotel staff, from the concierge to the room service waiter were extremely welcoming and polite. They made me feel like I am at home and were treating me like I was a loyal regular customer, although it was my first time visiting Bahrain and staying in that hotel. The room colors, space and cleanliness were very good. The hotel lobby is very quit and the lighting are very relaxing. Location wise, it is located next to a street with all the fancy restaurants and pubs with a 3 min walk. I would recommend the hotel to my friends and consider staying at the same hotel next time I visit Bahrain.

Nice but pricey

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet

Cons: cost

The Gulf Hotel in Bahrain is a great place to stay, but is priced higher than many of the other hotels in Bahrain. It has a very nice pub and is close to other western eating places in Manama.
