We only live about an hour away, but we wanted to stay near The Lincoln Theatre since we were attending the Macabre Monster Movies film festival. The hotel is literally steps from The Lincoln, and while Marion is a small town, there are some great dining options nearby. We had a late lunch at the Wooden Pickle just across the street (our favorite, we've been there numerous times), and dinner at Moon Dog Brick Oven right next door. We also had a nice breakfast on Sunday at the Downtown Pioneer (about a block away) even though there was a free selection at the hotel. The room (Junior King Suite) wasn't what I'd call large, but it was certainly big enough for us and had everything we needed and more. Mini fridge, microwave, small tv, two chairs, one large ottoman, comfy king bed. The furnishings are substantial and appropriate for the historic hotel. Plenty of drawers & cabinets to unpack. The staff was welcoming and our room was ready a little early, which is always a nice surprise. They use REAL KEYS, a fun throwback. Free parking is just behind the hotel, so we didn't have to leave our car parked on the street. There is a side entrance to the lobby near the parking lot and the elevator is directly next to the front desk. It's worth noting that there are several stairs from the street level up to the front desk (from both the front and side entrances), but I'm sure there must be wheelchair access via the elevator somehow. We will be back, for sure!

Central location, specifically to the Lincoln Theater. Cleanliness is a priority. Lots of stairs as this is a historical building.

The room was the size of my walk-in closet. Very disappointed. We had to move the chair on the corner to get to the window and found spider webs and massive dust on all baseboards. Behind the TV was also the same. No refrigerator, microwave , coffee pot, ice bucket. The room was 10X10 and their online pics are deceiving. The bathroom was definitely nice. Overpriced hotel. For that type of money per night , I expected a bigger area and certainly a clean area. The staff gets 5 stars , very kind, breakfast was great. Room gets 1 star

Goodmorning Tracy: I deeply apologize that your stay was unsatisfactory. I have made a point to contact housekeeping about the spiderwebs and dust. Please be reminded that this is a boutique historic hotel built in 1926. Therefore the rooms are smaller than chain hotels. Also, we are not like chain hotels whereas we do not have those extra amenties in our rooms. I really wish you had brought your disappointment to the attention of the front desk agent as we could have moved you to a larger room. Thank you
