Had to go find the person to checkup in. Said to call on the phone in the lobby bug it didn’t work. Sheets on the bed were torn.

Needed a room

Nice accommodations, comfortable bed and linens, free full breakfast was acceptable but generic, staff was courteous and friendly, overall a pleasant experience!

Clean, comfortable, and recently remodeled.

Pros: Everything.
Very nice property! Close to the Interstate and close to shopping and restaurants. Very clean, comfortable, and quiet!

breakfast was terrible and wasn't being manned had to go to the front desk and tell them items were out multiple times (coffee, silverware, waffle batter etc) and each time i went I would get the why you bothering me look as I would have to ring the bell for service as they were hiding in the back office.

Nice place to open a motel

Pros: Location, although there are several motels in the area, the price was right.
Cons: Cleaning
Location: I was there for a reunion with family. My Grandparents and parents lived in this area for many years.
The hotel does not have an elevator and I was given a room in the adjacent building to the main building on the 4th floor. Very difficult to climb stairs and carry luggage. The steps were carpeted and very dirty. I mentioned this to the desk clerk and she said they were in the process of updating and it was very difficult to keep everything clean. I was there four days and the steps were not vacuumed during that time. My room needed vacuumed and was not done during my stay. The bathroom floor was not clean, and had the usual hair in the corners. I did receive clean towels daily and my bed was made. Needless to say, I was only in my room for sleeping so was able to overlook the lack of cleanliness. Residents of Grinnell mentioned to me that the motel used the renovation excuse on a regular basis for their lack of upkeep. Seems renovations have been going on for years.

Overnight Stay

Evening front desk employee was friendly. Room was clean but dark and outdated. Bathroom had clogged shower. Exercise room had broken equipment.

best of the best hotel in town, we love to stay this hotel when we back to home.
