Very run down. Furniture was beat up. The walls, doors and carpet stained and dirty. Very mildewy and smelly. Totally awful.

Initial check in, staff member was abrupt and unprofessional. Requested an upper floor room at time of making reservation, upon check in, was told "there aren't any". Ended up in a first floor room that was also used for travelers with pets. We should have left at that point, but had an appointment to keep. Next morning, another staff member was very courteous and pleasant and apologized for the room and the behavior of other staff member. Overall, not pleased with this La Quinta.

If you are staying at a La Quinta in the area, the Palm Bay one is better. The rooms are larger, as is the breakfast area. While the pool is smaller, it is surrounded by palms, which makes it feel more tropical & blocks views of the parking lot & traffic. Both could use some sound proofing or quieter guests.
