1900's Historic Character at Peabody Place

Summary: This historic property was built in 1900! It's got all the charm of a building from that era with the brick exterior, high 10 ft ceilings, and large windows throughout. Very conveniently located in Midtown and a super short Uber ride (5 min) to downtown, you'll have everything you need within a few minutes away. You have your own private entry, free street parking, laundry and all the essentials you'll need to explore the best of Memphis. We'll send you a digital guidebook with our favorite recommendations :) The Space: Step inside a historic property from the year 1900! The numerous windows keep my place open and bright with a well laid out floor plan. The brand new bathroom is located off the hallway, the full size kitchen to one end and living area on the other separated by a cozy bedroom. I've tried to set it up so you have several different sitting areas; a couple in the living area with either a comfy sofa or a relaxing chair facing the smart TV equipped with Netflix & Youtube. A small kitchen table with a couple chairs is also a good place eat a meal you brought in from one of the many nearby restaurants or a meal you prepared yourself in the equipped kitchen with all the essentials (salt, pepper, olive oil) In the bedroom, you have a window AC unit that also does heat to keep the temperature right where you want it and get some reading done next to the large windows. The bathroom also has it's own heat source to keep things just a tad bit more toasty on those cool winter days. Off the living area is an antique desk for when you need to buckle down and handle your business. This is just one apartment in a building of 6 but you have your own private entrance and private laundry in the apartment. Guest Access: The property is in the front of the building but also has a rear access through the laundry room You are free to park on the street directly in front of the building - there are no restrictions there. You will have full access in the apartment; there are no locked doors or cabinets. The Neighborhood: Walk out the front door and you'll find yourself in front of a delicious Thai restaurant in a converted historic home, next door to a spa, or a short Uber (5 min) brings you to bustling Overton square, one of Memphis' most happening areas with a host of other restaurants and bars. Head downtown the other direction in a short 5 min Uber ($6) and you'll find yourself engulfed in Memphis' blues scene on the famous Beale street. In addition to the many great eateries (which you'll find in the guidebook i'll send you) there are several parks nearby and places to relax. Getting Around: Uber or Lyft are readily available and definitely the best option. There is a trolley that runs down Madison and will bring you to downtown if you want a little more of a historic experience heading downtown. Other Things to Note: This is a historic property so sound can travel a bit easier than a new building. Please be mindful of your noise level (especially after 10pm) as to not disturb the long term residents next door. There is free street parking without restrictions in front of the building. Interaction with Guests: You'll receive a digital code one day before your arrival for the rear door which means that 24 hour check-in is no problem at all! Any questions and we can be reached 24 hours a day by sending us a quick message. I will send you a text with a link to my guidebook I'm working on before your arrival but you will also have additional information inside the apartment with contacts, transportation and other general info
