"This property was a surprise! While it is outdated and the furniture could use an update, the beds were comfortable... and the VIEW! Every room faces the Rideau Canal. The main entrance also faces the canal and the hotel is flanked by walking trails and green space. You can feel this place is steeped in history. It is an unique and interesting property for sure. One of a kind."

"It’s a nice suite that’s well stocked with what you need to be comfortable. It’s a quiet area with plenty to do. We loved walking through the area and exploring. My only observation is that the Sunrise Suite is very aptly named as it is bright even with the curtains. There’s a skylight over the pullout bed that doesn’t close. If you like lots of sunshine, you will love it! Finally, the owner is thoughtful, flexible, and helpful."
