Hi Nygirl, thank you for taking the time to write a review. The Catalina Hotel & Beach Club is located in the heart of South Beach which is known for beautiful beaches and tantalizing nightlife. It is what makes our location so attractive to travelers, but we apologize for any disturbance. Hotels in Miami Beach do not lock the lobbies at night. That would make little sense as the guests go in and out while enjoying the nightlife in our popular destination. We are saddened that you did not have a better stay and would like to bring our apologies!

Thank you for your fantastic rating! We are a historic hotel built in the early 1900’s, so our boutique rooms are a bit smaller than modern accommodations which is quite common for Miami Beach.
