Had booked a trip for a 3 night stay as a small celebration. Got the deluxe room with the balcony, 22nd floor. Room was great, clean, no complaints at all. But interaction with the staff from start to finish was quite the rodeo. Took over 3 days to try to reach a manager to change a reservation. On the third day, I Literally sat 10 hours away in my car on hold, waiting to know if I had to drive 10 hours to Miami because they would not change the reservation or to go home. Upon arrival valet was in my vehicle digging things out, I was the only car there. Very uncomfortable. Couldn’t use the luggage cart myself, was told only bellhop could touch it. After 20 minutes made multiple trips instead of waiting. Was unfortunately ill during my trip, first day got woke up by cleaning staff. No “do not disturb” sign was in the room. After declining service once, 3 hours later was woken again saying I called for service (never called anyone). Finally had a sign brought up and put on the door. During checkout I watched the customer before me get finished, then stood in front of the desk for over 15 minutes while the desk person just kind of did their thing. Had questions on my bill but wasn’t able to ask about them as they were busy. Just got fed up and left. A little surprised at the almost $300 bill at checkout. Didn’t order room service or anything, but whatever. Great property, but would never recommend. I travel to Miami once a month, there’s plenty of other options.
