    Honeymoon Heaven. 5/5 highly reccomend

We stayed at the national for our honeymoon. I honestly wish i didnt have to leave. The national is spectacular. Every detail highlighted. As soon as you step foot on property youre greeted with exceptional service and attention. The jazz music that echoes through the lobby is what ill miss most. It really sets the mood. Check in was a breeze and the staff was very knowledgeable about the hotel and surrounding areas. We stayed in a king size cabana suite, and for our honeymoon we were gifted the nicest room on property with an ocean view. The balcony on this room was massive and such a treat. Service came every day at appropriate times and was respectful to the DND sign whenever displayed. The rooms were quiet even though there was music outside. The whole ambience of this resort is impecabble. It was everything i was looking for in order to get that authentic miami feel. The breakfast buffet is absolutely wonderful and fresh every morning with plenty of choices. Lunch and dinner menus are just as pleasant, the food prepared wonderfully. I miss the chicken quesidillas by the pool bar already. All in all i am beyond pleased with our stay at the national and would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for an authentiv miami vacation. There isnt a single complaint i could give to this hotel. Pricing is fair and accurate for the area. Service was exceptional. I look forward to the next time i can stay with the national !

Love the National Hotel. Some mediocre service.

While we love the National Hotel, the front desk is less than impressive. We were not allowed in our Cabana room until 4:30 because it had not been checked by a supervisor. We asked if the Cabana room at the end was available since we had been in it before. Even though the room was available, occupancy was at 70% and we are repeat customers, wouldn’t give the room. Then as we were leaving late afternoon, the shower facilities that are being remodeled were 8 people waiting in line. Hotels will usually allow one to use a used guest room to shower but no, the front desk manager would not allow it. So long lines to shower. How kind to your departing guests. We went all the way to the back with luggage to use the outside pool shower. Food should be so much better at restaurant with that stunning patio overlooking the pool. We went next door and had fabulous sushi at UMI. Love the pools though and the staff out at the beach and pool are fabulously kind and professional. Room was very clean and quiet. Gardens are a treasure. Think I would go back for that and I do love the ambiance and location. Rosita’s is right across the street with amazing lattes and sandwiches. There is an incredible French boulangerie around the corner with great cafe au lait and croissants. Les Moulins la Fayette.

went during Art Fair. Paid way too much for this hotel. The musty smell is masked by some sort of gross perfume. The lobby looks impressive but the rooms are very old. The rooms and the hallways smelled terrible. They need to remove the carpets. It is in need of a renovation especially for the price. On a good note it is in a great location and the staff were very friendly.
