Strath Taieri Hotel - Bunks

Located on the Central Otago Rail Trail, this location can be the start or end of this part of the Rail Trail with cycle hire, servicing and charging within a stone’s throw of the Hotel.

The Strath Taieri Hotel is the home for locals of Middlemarch, hosting bands and events throughout the year.

The Hotel has a bar and restaurant which is open from 2pm most days.

The Space:
A clean, traditional style pub with the accommodation rooms sharing a common bathroom with 3 showers.

These rooms are single bunks, 2 per room. The rooms include a heater and access to the guest lounge where complimentary tea & coffee is provided all day.
A TV is provided in the guest lounge for use 24 hours a day.

Please note Linens are not included with this room type.

Check-in is available at the Hotel Bar / Restaurant from 2pm daily.

The Neighborhood:
Middlemarch is located in Otago, It lies at the foot of the Rock and Pillar Range of hills in the broad Strath-Taieri valley, through which flows the middle reaches of the Taieri River.
A quiet town which enjoys hosting travellers passing through or taking advantage of the Central Otago Rail Trail.

Getting Around:
Taxis, Uber or buses are not available in Middlemarch.

Transport is essential, unless passing thourgh on the Rail Trail.

Other Things to Note:
The Strath Taieri Hotel does host events from time to time. If an event is taking place on a night of your reservation you will be conacted prior to your arrival.
