Very convenient to all the shops, dining and beach! Parking is very limited and rooms are much older in style. The pictures on Travelocity only represent one room-they are all different and we were disappointed with our compared to the picture.

Loved this small Inn right on Ocean Ave. in the heart of Carmel by the Sea and very close to the beach. Enjoyed the learning about the history of the inn that they display and the lobby is beautiful. Room, linens were clean, beds were comfortable and staff was accommodating. They also have a small parking lot right in the back of the Inn. Price was reasonable as well. I would stay here again.

The property is centrally located which is a plus. Parking is limited, but there is unlimited parking approximately two blocks away so it's not too bad. Being an older building, it does not have an elevator which is not an issue for us, but could be a problem for either older people or those with disabilities. The room was comfortable, but was rather stuffy and since the building is older there is no AC. We were able to open the window to cool the room down, but being above the restaurant we had to listen to the loud sound of its vents, but also smell a strong smell of cooking fish which filled the room. Unfortunately we were there on a fully booked night so we were unable to move and had to make the choice of being too hot or smelling fish all night.

Excellent location, the reception area looks exactly as the pictures, but the room was good enough to be a linen closet, not good enough for any other use. The staff asked if I had booked with Travelocity like it was a bad thing.. limited parking, come late - you’re on your own... the breakfast was nothing I’d like to rate.. the view from the window was the air conditioning unit to the next building, while no air conditioning in my room. The bathroom with no safety features/ bars... I appreciate old, vintage, antique... this facility has some of it only in the reception area.

The area was great as always. The room was on the 3rd floor, no elevator, no coffee in the room, only street parking and the car has to be moved every two hours, unless you have handicap parking, which we have, so ok for us but tough for everybody else. The room was very small, making it really hard to move around or get ready to go anywhere. There is a free complimentary breakfast but only on weekdays. Loading and unloading the car is challenging carrying things up or down stairs!
