    About this property

Patio Apartment With Panoramic Mountain Views!

One bedroom with queen bed, fully furnished apartment with new appliances, separate entrance and parking spaces, patio & grill, full kitchen and bath, washer, dryer, all utilities included: FIOS internet, heating, AC, electricity, and spring water. There is NO TV service, however, there is a TV and DVD player (you can use the TV with your own Roku or Apple TV). Living room has new queen sleeper and single day bed for guests, writing desk, comfortable couch and swivel chair, dining table, and views of Pores Knob and the Brushy Mountains, and views to the east (sunrises and moonrises.). The apartment is the lower level of a mountain style home, on 10-acre saddleback on the Wilkes/Alexander county line. 20 min. to downtown Wilkesboro. Occasionally there may be guests or friends staying upstairs. It is a beautiful “heaven on earth” place of quiet and rest. A final point to consider: the house, of which the apartment comprises the lower level, is for sale. It has been on the market since March 2019. So far, this has not been a problem for travelers, but it is probably wise not to book more than two months in advance. This would be especially true for Merle Fest travelers April 23-26, 2020.

    Entire place

You'll have the entire apartment to yourself and will only share it with other guests in your party.

    5/5 Excellent

Book it! You’ll regret not doing so.

Sally is an amazing host. She responds to your inquires promptly and the directions and check in/out process was seamless. We got to our destination early and she was able to accommodate an early check in. The property is breathtaking, clean, the solitude(speechless). We drove to the Blue Ridge Parkway, Kerr Scott Dam & Reservoir....Easy drive into Wilkesboro for food. To be honest, if I never left the property, that would have been enough. Sorry Sally you’re stuck with us, we’ll definitely be back. Thanks for sharing your home with us Sally, I’m so in love! My friend a are officially jealous! LOL How could I not mention the breathtaking sunrise and just how beautiful it is when the clouds clear after the rain. Even watching the clouds clear is so beautiful!

        Quiet mountain getaway

We stayed here for a week as we mountain biked at Kerr Scott Resevoir and hiked Grandfather Mountain. The property is about 20 min from Wilkesboro and the reservoir and a little over an hour to Boone. Perfect location for outdoor adventures! The apartment is well furnished, bigger than the pictures let on and plenty far away from people without sacrificing any creature comforts. I would suggest bringing your own pillows and a roku/chromecast as there is no t.v. service but the internet works great. There may be people upstairs (the owners, caretakers or their guests) who you can hear easily but it was mostly very quiet. We cooked almost all of our meals here. Updated appliances, great cookware (best I've seen in a VRBO) and an awesome grill. Do bring your basic seasonings and spices if you're into cooking. The drive is, as mentioned, a bit steep in some sections and narrow. Follow the directions in a high clearance vehicle and don't drive like a crazy person and you'll be fine. Lastly, the views are gorgeous. The sunrise is beautifully different everyday. I only wish the leaves had changed a bit more during our stay. Thanks again for a great week.

          Most Beautiful View

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay - mostly because of the gorgeous view but house was very clean, comfortable and nice. We want to go back and stay longer. If you want to get away from it all in a quiet, beautiful place ... this is it!!!

Stunning views. Phenominal property. Wonderful manager.

We had a wonderful trip to this vrbo in Moravian Falls. The property is incredible. Everything was perfect when we arrived. It is tastefully furnished, has excellent craftsmanship, and was very clean. The views from inside and outside are stunning. It is like looking at a picture, but it is real! We spent many hours sitting, resting, and soaking in the views in every direction. Communication with the manager was excellent. Responses were fast and clear. We got to meet the manager and her caretaker in person, and they were both super nice and friendly people. They did everything they could to make our stay enjoyable and relaxing. We hope to go back again! I would give the experience 10 stars, if there were that many. Note: for those renting a vehicle to drive to the property. It is about a 15min drive up a mountain road. It is an easy drive, but AWD or 4x4 is probably the best with the steep grades and gravel roads. We loved the drive up and down. It was also one of our favorite parts about this property.

              Beautiful Mountain Getaway

This was our first time securing accommodations via a vacation rental, and we are so happy we did! Everything was perfect — beautiful apartment, stunning views, and easy and quick communication with the owner. We had no problem finding the apartment as the directions were spot on. It took us no time to head over to North Wilkesboro where we enjoyed the apple festival and had dinner at a lovely, little Italian restaurant. Thank you so much for a wonderful weekend!
