The view was beautiful and a nice golf course on the site. Beautiful lake next to the property. Rooms were clean and comfortable.

The fitness center, restaurant and golfing were enjoyable. The renovations over past decades leave something to be desired, and it is not as "handicapped-friendly" as it could be.

Good price for stay

Rooms do need to be updated. Mattress was worn out. It is ok facility. We didn't get to use the facility due to time but there is a golf course. Very nice meeting room. Was disappointed with breakfast. It is truly continental. It met our needs.

FALSE ADVERTISEMENT / NEWLY REMODELED NOT A CHANCE

Pros: The wedding that I was there to attend was wonderful and the wedding planner was fabulous
Cons: They may have to shut the hotel down and do the renovations they said were done
Where to start! The hotel advertised it's newly remodeled maybe in 1980. The beds were VERY OLD and falling apart. The shower handle in my room got stuck on hot water, no maintenance to fix problem, I had to deal w/ it myself. Of Course the tub was full of hair and took 45 minutes to drain before I could take a shower. Hotel had been over booked so they didn't have a room to move me too. There was about an inch of dust, dirt, and food under the bed. I sent an email to the hotel and no response. I would have been better off sleeping in my car.

Found my home away from home

My son will be attending a nearby university next year and I was looking for a place to stay when I visit him. Found it!!!

Not worth it at any price

All the other reviews tell you how outdated and beat the place is, so I won't go there. I'm sure it was nice .... 30 years ago. What was really disturbing was when we returned to our room and a complete stranger was in it and had gone thru my luggage. Nothing taken, but the staff could care less about the security breach. They went out of their way to assure us it wasn't their fault and nothing else. Didn't apologize, offer anything, say they would look into it or write an incident report (even after we asked for one). I should have called the police and ruined their evening. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID

Golf package good deal

Pros: Free breakfast
We were there on a golf package. Room was ok but I am not real picky. [My wife was not with me] The buffet dinner was not very good. We were there last year and it was very good. This year the chicken was dried out, the roast beef tasteless and the shrimp was all breading. The desserts were very good though. The golf courses were crowded but we were able to play 27 each day.

Only if you have too

I have stayed at the Lakeview Inn in the past and I was hoping this time would be better. It wasn't. The room was dusty and smelled like mildew. There was no soap in the bathroom and the toilet paper roll was almost empty. My reservation was for a king suite. When I got to the room, I had two double beds. When I called the front desk to tell them I got the wrong room, they told me there were no more King beds. I asked for a rate adjustment and got one, but why didn't they tell me this when I checked in. I realize this is an older hotel, but drop the "resort" and pay more attention to details!
