Central location with parking. Morpeth is known as the gateway to Northumberland. The town has plenty of supermarkets, restaurants, pubs and cafés. The park is a place to relax, grab a bite to eat from local takeaways, feed the ducks or just let kids go wild in the playground. The river in the town has rowing boats and the weekly Wednesday market is worth a visit. Northumberland is a diverse county with miles of beautiful unspoilt coastline with lovely beaches and castles, a stunning Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Inland you will find the Northumberland National Park with Kielder Water making a super day out. Some people like to hike in the Cheviots, or take a boat trip to the Farne Islands or spend a day over at Holy Island driving over the causeway at certain times of the day. Alnwick Castle is easily reached up the A1 where you can visit the castle which is now famous for the Harry Potter scenes in the early films. All of this is easily accessible from Cottingburn House with the major roads only a couple of minutes away. Beach 9 miles. Shops, restaurants and pubs only 250 yards.
