So we were driving south on Highway 5 and decided to stop in a Dunsmuir for the night. We paid for a reservation through Travelocity at about 10 pm. Got to the motel at 10:40 Pm only to find ourselves locked out of the motel with a note saying the office would re-open at 7am. Sign said ring bell after 11 pm (it was still twenty minutes earlier than that) if checking in after 11. Tried ringing bell Several times. No answer. Had to drive another hour to Redding. Hoping we will get our money back.

The check in/front desk gentleman was AWESOME. The room was ok the bed was very comfortable and the room was clean. Room was small but I would stay again. It was a last minute reservation and it served its purpose.

Pros: Walking distance to the Brewery and the downtown.
Clean and well managed hotel. Good that there is some breakfast and coffee.

Comfortable stay every time

Pros: Comfort and price
Location: There is a very good brew pub (Dunsmuir Pub and Brewery) walking distance and a great breakfast place called The Wheelhouse.
We generally stay here on our way to and from the Bay Area. The beds are comfy the staff are very pleasant.
