Doggie Dream Home
First time to Arkansas for my husband and I and our two Border Collies, a hidden gem, I love it! I also love this home and property! The outside had many private and remote acres of treed rolling hills with wide hiking paths throughout. Our dogs loved being able to roam freely and explore, and I enjoyed our daily jogs and hikes on the trails. For those dogs who cannot be trusted off leash, there is also a large fenced-in area in the back of the house complete with a mud room and doggy doors. The house is amazing, like nothing I have ever seen, doggie art with stories from all over the world, fancy wood, dog (mostly Lab) and bear decor everywhere, automatic dog waterers, two dog beds (with a big fluffy teddy bear), electric fireplace, huge kitchen with everything, washer/dryer, two TVs (no internet, but cell phones work well), and even a hot tub. Unfortunately, the fancy carved wood stairs were too slippery for our two older dogs, so we had to carry them up and down the stairs to use the bedrooms and the hot tub and to enjoy the amazing views on the 3rd floor. The owner (Davis) lives on the property in another house on the other side of a hill. I loved meeting him upon our arrival and hearing some of his dog stories, and seeing and feeling his deep love for dogs which truly showed throughout this rental home, dogs are truly the best!

Great Lodging and Aesthetic!
We had a great time at Davis' place! The cabin is a work of art in it's own right, rustic, but, comfortable with a view of the surounding mountains and forest, which can even be viewed while soaking in the hot tub. There's plenty of room inside and out with trails around the property through the woods. The owner Davis is awesome! He is super easy to communicate with and helpful. He made sure we had everything we needed and scrambled to made an alternate route to the place when his bridge was damaged by the waters. If you do stay there, check out Crooked Creek Access a couple minutes down hwy 62 for a nice easy hiking trail that follows the creek. Anyway, the place is great, the pictures don't do it justice. Would love to stay there again!

Fantastic Retreat
My family and fur babies had a fabulous time. The place needed some cleaning up when we arrived, but we got that handled and we enjoyed our stay very much. It was so very nice to be able to take our pups with us. We enjoyed all the personal touches Davis has put into the home. We will for sure be back a lot.

Great cabin with great views
Our family including children and dogs thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. We hiked the trails on the property and enjoyed relaxing by the fireplace or in the hot tub. The view from the 3rd floor can't be beat and we saw deer multiple times per day. The cabin had all we needed to cook all of our meals there. Our dogs loved the huge outdoor fenced area to explore on their own. Our kids loved the dog and bear carvings and artwork. Overall really amazing place to visit.

Peaceful getaway
We had such a peaceful getaway here! Davis clearly has put so much thought and love into this cabin and it shows. And of course our dogs had an absolutely blast. From the pond and trails, to the dog beds and refillable water bowls. The cabin was clean and provided plenty of space. Views were beautiful and we saw deer almost every night. A must stay for all, especially those that have furry friends with them!

Great Vacation!
My family had a fabulous time! The cabin was great and beds were comfy. The cabin is isolated, yet close to many activities. We rented a boat, visited Branson a couple times, and hiked nearby. Everything was perfect for my family!

3 pak of Doxies welcomed!!
We were looking for a place that was secluded, had a hot tub and would welcome our doxy 3 pak. This 3 level cabin checked all the boxes and was beautiful, as was the view from the top of the mountain. Our long weekend was enjoyed by us and our doxies, as well. The dogs loved the never-ending water bowls, the large fenced in area for them to run around leash free and the doggy beds!! Thank you for sharing your cabin with us, Davis.

Pet Friendly Get Away
This property was the most pet friendly location we have ever visited in the nearly 20 years we have been using VRBO. The property has a HUGE fenced in area plus it's on acreage. Our dogs loved being able to just get out of the car and not have to worry. They were able to lay in the front "yard" and keep an eye on the property while they were waiting for the next woodland creature to emerge. We saw deer, rabbit, 3 skinks that live under the driveway, an armadillo, lots of very large birds (including an eagle), a bobcat and a bat that flew past us one evening under the covered porch. The best was the hummingbird couple that would come check in on us every time we were outside. They would hover within a few feet of us, look us in the eye as if to say Hello. You can hear the cows and chickens from a nearby property which was perfect for us. The home is equipped with automatic watering bowls which the dogs loved and they quickly learned that stopping for a romp in the creek before heading out for the day or heading back was now part of the routine. It was upper 80s during our stay so they enjoyed the opportunity to cool off. Like the description says in the listing, the house is fun and not fancy. You aren't going to find high end finishes and plush furniture but you will find nearly everything you need (ladies, bring your hairdryer). Having said that the house met all of our needs. The owner has collected dog art from around the world and is displayed throughout the house. The third flood has the most amazing views. It is so peaceful. Although we didn't use every room of the house, there are plenty of options to spreadout if you have a larger group. Davis is very responsive. He was on site staying in a different house on the proerty (which is separate and on the other side of the hill). We would chat nearly everyday like you would at home with a neighbor. He was very friendly and we enjoyed our conversations. Especially enjoyed meeting his four legged companions. We have Verizon for cell service and never had an issue making a call or using it as an internet hot spot. The only negative thing to say about the house is that it would be preferred that two of the bathrooms have window treatments. It's a secluded location however, certain parts of the house should have some privacy. We do look forward to visiting again whenever we are in the area.
