For all those considering this property please do not chose this property. We wasted our money. Any other property would have been better. There are so many choices, chose any of them. The list is literally almost endless. I regret I cannot post the pictures of the ridiculousness that is this hotel. This is not a resort! I don’t know how anyone could ever sing the praise of this run down, poorly furnished place. I am unable to post all of the pictures of this distressed property. If you never have believed a review before, believe this one, please. I will end with a small list of items that were wrong, do not stay here! Mold along the tub Cracked walls Discolored greasy walls Hotel forces you to have maid service every day to check your room, then you have to sign that they are not responsible to lost or stolen items Holes in wall Furnishings trashed & beat up Wrong cable guide Elevator inspection 2 years out of date Room pictures very deceptive. Bedroom has no view and is isolated from the common area Dark parking lot Walk across street every time you leave the hotel, parking lot is across the street. Powerful chlorine smell all over the bottom floor Soda machine sold out Blown outlet Trash in parking lot never picked up or removed Smoke alarms had been ripped from the wall and the wires still exposed. Holes in the lamp shade Tiny, very tiny balcony. Beachfront does not truly mean “beachfront” Etc etc etc

This property is great if you're a baby boomer and ammenities from 1995 are good enough for you. The room was clean and the HVAC was nice and cool. It had cable TV. However, its not 1995. We dont care about cable TV. We stream everything. This is where Oceans One falls way short. For one, there arent many options for charging your devices bedside. The desk lamps dont have power receptacles and we found ourselves having to charge our phones and tablets on the floor. But it turns out we should have probably left these devices home because they were useless with no reliable Internet. I was initially excited when I walked into the room and saw that we had our own dedicated wireless access point. They had the right idea. But thats where my excitement ended. The bandwidth was terrible during peak hours (5 pm - 10 pm). There was "Baby Boomer Internet". What I mean is that the Internet was only fast enough for checking email and maybe Facebook. Streaming was impossible during peak hours. Frequent buffering for 30 seconds at a time and Internet time outs. This is unacceptable in 2019. Each room needs at least 2 MB of dedicated Internet. Either Oceans One is being very cheap with their Internet package or whoever set it up for them didnt setup traffic shaping. My kid was forced to watch cable and even asked, "Daddy can I watch my show without so many commercials?" No. Because at Oceans One its apparently still 1995.

Excellent Resort!

We had a great stay at Oceans One Resort! Our room was nice and clean. We love the location and the oceanfront view. We also utilized the workout room, pool and hot tub. Everything about this weekend vacation was truly wonderful! We will definitely plan on visiting this lovely resort again in the near future!

Filthy and understaffed

Room was beautiful. I don't usually leave bad reviews but this place was understaffed, overpriced and filthy. There is NO lounge, NO bar and no lobby to even buy coffee. The hallways were filthy when we got there and stayed filthy until we left. Besides the front desk staff (who are in a desperate building across the street) I did not see any staff. No towels at the pool either.

Great, but...

The resort was beautiful. Only things i think could be improved on are as follows, lights in the living room (one had only one bulb instead of two, the other didn't work at all, the switch was broken)tv was not on the right picture setting so it was only about 15"picture and distorted, i think when having a full kitchen they should have basics like paper towels and dish liquid especially when it is required to wash all dishes, and finally housekeeping never showed up on the fourth day at all. The view was beautiful and the pools seemed very well maintained.

NICE PLACE TO STAY

We enjoyed our stay at Oceans One. This was our first trip to Myrtle Beach. It was a quick trip but a lot of fun.
