We did enjoy the convenience of the wine tastings and beautiful grounds across the street, but the Meritage property itself was less than par in cleanliness. The pool area where you can enjoy the fire pit at night was an absolute mess, dirty towels and glasses everywhere. The night front desk clerk was very un educated of the property, it’s amenities and hours of food and drink possibilities and just overall not caring of guest needs or complaints. Third party cleaners were parked in all the handicapped spaces at night without the proper endorsements which left us walking further than expected with my disability. As I expressed this concern with staff including pictures they seemed like they really didn’t care and were hesitant to tell us they were employed by the property. In conclusion if you want to stay at a resort and pretty much take care of yourself than this is the spot 😉 We will not be returning unless contacted by management to explain what went wrong with our experience.

Even though we liked the rooms and how clean they are, overall service was not the best. Service at the crush(restaurant) is beyond unacceptable. We sat and waited over an hour before anyone acknowledged our presence, we have to assume it is due to us being people of color because others were greeted, seated and served immediately. should not wait seating for an hour with out even being recognized. A nice couple offered up their seating to us since we had a baby with us, and even then, no service. So I went to the bar to get the attention of staff and was told the server to our side would be coming. Waited another 20 minutes before the bar manager came and took our order. Our order consisted of Dinner for two, and two drinks. My impression was we would get the drinks while we waited for the food. Nope, after 30mins of waiting the food came first and then drinks followed after a reminder and after about 15 minutes of waiting. As guests of the hotel, we wanted to participate in bowling and other activities, but 3 hours to be served, enjoy a meal and drinks that took a lot out of our vacation. We did not want to stay another hour in that place. I hope they creat a waitlist/guest list person by the door that would let people know when a spot is open. And also seat and greet people when they come in. This restaurant single handedly could sink this place and really messed up our overall experience.

Need more pools for the amount of guests...pools were overly crowded and not able to use them. Also when tried to get help from front desk, we were ingnored most times & ended up back at our room calling guest services for any kind of information or help.

Nice, clean room, hospitable,.

It was clean, comfortable, reasonable, and nice to have a quality bottle of wine, complimentary water. The only draw back was the staff forgot our wakeup call, fortunately we made our flight.
