Lakeside Retreat Next to 7 Acre Lake; Many Porches. Nestled in 2000 Forest Acres

The Fork Inn is located in Big East Fork Valley, a unique pristine natural area 20 miles west of Nashville, and six miles from both historic Franklin and Leipers Fork village. Adjacent to a Natchez Trace National Park and Timberlands County Park, our valley contains two lakes, several ponds, and miles of creek and hiking trails. There are country roads for biking and a few for riding off-road . Fork Inn's Lakeside Retreat has 6 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms with large living room, rec room/ dining room, and huge outdoor and wrap-around porches. A four to six person hot tub is available and a 300 gallon stick tank (“red-neck” above ground swimming pool”) can be filled with house water for refreshing dipping. Meeting rooms are available for events, lectures, and workshops. Four additional rental houses (Parrot House, Pond Cottage, Log Cabin, and Center Lodge) are within walking distance. For larger parties, there are 11 additional rentals on adjacent parcels! The Lakeside Retreat is situated next to 300-acre Lake Gratitude Nature Sanctuary. It's gazebo and fire pit is available for your private use after dark. All Fork Inn guests are invited use the 6-acre Lake and hiking trails during daylight hours. The Forest Stage and Yoga studio may be rented by all Fork Inn guests. The Center for Sustainable Stewardship, CSS, is a 501(c) 3 non-profit located across the road. Volunteers from CSS maintain the hiking trails and provide bicycles, canoes, kayaks, and paddleboats to the public. They encourage donations to help sustain their work in connecting folks to authentic natural activities (organic farms, boating, hiking, nature education, horseshoes, shuffle board). Volunteers also feed and care for the gentle farm animals (donkey, cow, goats, pigs, chickens). Please feed/pet the animals and support the CSS mission with your generous donation.

Amazing property!
We stayed for a week and had such a fantastic time. The house itself, though beautiful, could stand to be updated (fix tiles, new mattresses, etc) but any less than pristine fixings inside were made up for by the amazing experience we had on the property. Our family was outside almost the entire time roasting hot dogs and marshmallows, kayaking and canoeing, feeding the farm animals and hiking by the creek. It was one of the best family vacations we've ever had. Wade, the property manager, was at helpful and immediately fixed any issues we had. Austin was also friendly and helpful. Setting us up with canoes and oars and showing us the animals. This place is really, really special.

Really Cool Retreat
Beautiful property with a nice fishing lake and hiking trails. We had a pretty big group (8 people) and loved it. Would definitely stay here again.

Retreating with my cousins
Beautiful setting, very relaxing. We had ten adults, all related and traveling in from various places. We enjoyed our stay, and all the staff folks were super friendly and responsive when we needed anything. The kitchen appliances were great though it would have been nice to have a dishwasher and an ice maker and the dryer was not working and was not repaired during our stay. The hot tub was not ready for use but the dry sauna worked well. Went to use the grill and found it out of propane and filthy but they came the next day with propane snd cleaned it and we used it afterwards. We enjoyed sitting around a campfire making smores and talking each night. Several nice trails are available to hike and the lake is beautiful. The decks snd porches are wonderful and wrap around three sides of the main house with peaceful views. I saw an Eagle soaring over the lake one day snd we saw deer several times in the area. We travelled into Franklin a couple of times and Lepers Fork has nice places to eat and shop too. All in all a great time. 😀

Hidden Gem
This property is amazing. We had eight people stay over the weekend, and there was plenty of room for everyone to spread out. The porch/deck spans almost the entire place with nice views of the lake and woods. The commercial kitchen was fully stocked with pots, pans, a nice gas range with a double oven and a huge sink. The game room with ping pong table and the outdoor hot tub were also nice amenities. The property manager was extremely helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend the property to anyone.

Workshop retreat
The place was very nice, it had everything you need for a good retreat although the grill was very old. However, the property manager was quite strict on flexibility and we could not move our reservation even during a hurricane event. Overall the weather avoided the area so it was okay.
